The warm up.

One thing that always surprises me about the warm up is towards the end when the players have shooting practice at the reserve team goalie.

The defenders and defensive midfielders never take a shot at goal. Now I fully accept that it's the strikers and midfielders will usually have the most opportunities but sometimes a defender may be in a position to take a shot - I can think of times when shots by Medel, KTC and Declan John have gone nowhere near the goal - surely the whole team should be practising shooting at goal before the game?

Yesterday, only Whitts, Campbell and Zaha were having shooting practice. Not even Kenwyne Jones was having a go and he certainly needs all the practice he can get!
