AT LEAST ON SUNDAY THE PICTURE WILL BE CLEARER

Sun Apr 20, 2014 1:53 pm

When we go to Sunderland next Sunday lunchtime we will have a clear picture whether or not we can get out of the relegation places or not with a win.

If Norwich lose the previous day and City get all 3 points at the Stadium of Light, we will be out of the relegation zone.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=137773 :ayatollah:

Norwich are away to United on Saturday, Fulham are home to Hull.

Other results that will help us and make the league look a lot rosier would be, West Brom losing tomorrow to Man City and at home on Saturday to West Ham.

Fulham losing to Hull and Swansea beating Villa.

If all that happens then it would be the best set of results we could hope for, but I would gladly settle now for Just Norwich to drop points and City win.

Massive game for Sunderland and ourselves, both sides have taken 4 points from the last 6, it is going to be tense and probably there will be contentious decisions but I believe City could just pull it off.

They have not beaten a bottom half team at home all season, and Ole has tightened up the defence, we can do this :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Exactly...That's why I was so surprised at Annis' negativity/gloom in yesterdays post :bluescarf:

Sorry am I missing something city 2 Sunderland 2, Chelsea 1 Sunderland 2..do you guys really think we will go there and win. They will be full of confidence and will be hot favourites. Also have you guys seen the run in of Fulham and West Brom. Am afraid we are relegated and we need to start planning now for championship because we are in for a tough season there! Will take mid table now..jury out on ole!!!

Really no point being negative.

Wait until it's impossible or hugely unlikely for us to stay up. We have two winnable games on the road now.

I hope the players don't think like that. :old:

We beat man city but lost to palace and hull at home badly... We step up for the big games and play better just like Sunderland did the last week but just because they beat Chelsea and drew to man city don't rule it out

I will be prepared for next season whether that is Premier League or Championship.

I desperately want Cardiff City to remain in the Premier League, I thought weeks ago we were doomed, but Ole has managed (along with other results) to have kept us in the race to survive.

I believe two wins (one of which must be against Sunderland) will keep us in the division, there is a bit of hope that we can do it.

Oh yes they are world beaters aren't they :laughing6:

Below us in the table and haven't beat a team in the bottom half of the table all season, let's wait and see, Ole has tightened us up at the back and Daehli is looking class..... :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :ole:

Massive pressure on them now. It's a must win game for them too, more so with them being at home and on the back of the previous 2 results. I think we'll get back to back wins in the north east, followed by a cheeky point at home against Chelsea. :ayatollah:

Carl Hull will target the Fulham game, as they will want to get the job done before the F A cup final, if they don't get anything from that game they will struggle to get another point.

We do play a lot better away from home. I think two wins is very possible, maybe even sneak a draw against Chelsea to underline our safety. 7 points, 5 will do. :ole:

What are the chances that Man U come out flat against Norwich in the wake of the Moyes sacking and give up a loss at home?
Everyone assumes (or at least hopes) that Man U will handle Norwich like they should, but Norwich will be playing for their lives, and Man U are all but eliminated from even Europa Cup contention. Couple that with the vacuum of leadership, I fear they could lose that match.

If Villa and West Brom are reasonably safe, as they appear to be, it's a 4-man race for one spot, and 3 points to Norwich could seal Cardiff's fate.

The way I have been thinking about it, Chelsea would lose any chance of the title if they fail to win against Liverpool.

Hopefully they can get through against Athletico and their last premiership game before the CL final is away to us. Surely they would rest their stars against us, in preparation for the CL Final and they won't want to get injured so not put a tackle in?

Biggest game is undoubtedly against Sunderland and I think we could bag 3 points against Chelsea should my hopeful prediction come true.....

Beat Sunderland and Newcastle and yes we will stay up, anything less then we will go down in my opinion and will deserve to, we have had so many chances to get points,it will be our fault and only our fault if we go down.

Our fans have been superb away from home this season, now it's Ole and the teams turn to give us 6pts  :bluescarf: :bluescarf:
