The point I am making is that unfortunately there have been other football disasters where people have gone to a football match and not returned home however none of the others get a mention so wheres the rememberance for those lost soles..? What I am saying isn't being dis-respectful in fact its actually being respectful to every person who has lost their life watching a football match because a life is a life no matter who you follow.

yes it is its extremely disrespectful, of all the days to bring up any football disaster on the 15th April is just typical of people like you trying to get attention. Its the 25th Anniversary Hillsborough it was always going to get a big mention this year. You just cant help yourself can you lowlife scum. Year in year out they do memorials for the heysel disaster just because it is outside of the football season it doesnt get the press it should. Both clubs have permanent memorials to the disaster and remembrance ceremonys are given every year at Juventus.

What wanting the same remembrance for every football fan who have lost their life at a football match is dis-respectful?
Sorry but I must have missed minutes silence and a delayed kick off for every club at the top 8 leagues in England for anniversary for any other disaster.

tell you what ill turn up here on the 29th May and see how great your sentiments are for the heysel disaster is or whether your just being a prick.
also since it was Juventus that were the victims in this disaster im pretty sure theyve earned the right to commemorate their disaster in the way they choose and if that doesnt sit with your approval im pretty sure I can speak for Juventus fans when I say I dont think they give a shit about what a self-righteous prick from Wales thinks

Look Hillsborough was an unbelievably tragic day for anybody who follows football. The events leading up to it, the way it was handled by the authorities, the tragedy of individual cases and the steps taken by the police to cover up their actions and palm blame over to innocent football fans make it absolutely, totally , unique. There will never be another event like it and all football fans should be completely sympathetic with the 'fuss' the city and club of liverpool have and continue to make about it.
I kind of get the idea that Heysel should get more press coverage - but it doesn't have the same degree of controversy (it was obvious who was to blame, individuals were punished along with clubs) nor unaccountablity involved with it - the club, and english football, and individuals, were punished for their actions. That doesn't take away from the loss suffered by the famlies of all who's loved ones died, but it did and does offer them some degree of closure.
It was of course tragic, and should Juventus ever organise a remembrance ceremony I daresay it will get widespread coverage and support from the football communities worldwide - unfortunately games are not played on May 29th so anniversaries very rarely have matches in which regular minutes' silences can be observed.
|Frankly the comparisons are unneccesary - I am in the camp that will never, ever, criticise Liverpool for wanting the memory of Hillsborough to be respected - had Cardiff City had a better team in 1989 it could damn well easily have been our parents/brothers/sisters/uncles/aunts that had needlessly died.

11th may is also the 29 year anniversary of Bradford I believe

Do clubs like Bradford and etc going to the lengths Liverpool do on the day of remembrance for the disaster? Genuine question?
