Had a bit of trouble with my phone the last 2 days, put the charger in but it's not been charging properly. I googled it and people said check for lint in the charger port, go through it gently with a toothbrush etc.. Did that and it started charging but wouldn't go above 7%, even though it registered that it was being charged.
Went down to 1% then when I was out, then when charging it wouldn't go above 1%. Googled it again and people said to reboot it. Tried that but now it won't turn on, just shows the battery symbol as if there's not enough charge for it to turn on. Will I need to get a new battery?

Also it's not a problem with the charger. I've tried 3 different chargers and they're all fine

Try plugging it into your lap top with a proper Apple lead and connecting it to itunes

USB into computer with iTunes on also can charge it.
If not, I'd suggest a trip to the apple store, they often repair stuff for free.

Checking the apple website I noticed iPhones have a one year warranty. Will I need to prove that I have that warranty and how will I do it?

Jack, Apple have always been very good to deal with. Just pop in and see them and they may just give you a new phone.

Plug it onto itunes, back up the phone. Then do a full reboot. Should cure your problem
I doubt its the battery as phone would go off when unplugged if it was a battery issue. Maybe worth pm Merlin on here. Hes pretty good with i phones but you normally get your answer on u tube etc

They should just be able to get the serial number/IMEI from your phone and enter that into their database to check the remaining warranty. If they can't fix it they will replace it.
