id tend to agree but was in Birmingham yesterday and spoke with 2 Villa fans who were here for the nil nil draw.they said they thought he looked real class 1st half but a different player after the break b4 being taken off......his introduction, i thought changed the game Saturday....we need more of it from him

Opposition's tired legs will help.

I agree and am surprised to see him having started so often, but perhaps this was part of the loan deal with man utd in that they allowed us to have him as long as he was getting game time ? In my opinion he would be better used as an impact player. Seventy mins or so in, full backs tiring and then bring him on to give them the runaround / exploit space.

He's not match fit really, he's barely played this season.

wouldn't bring him on tho if we were 1-0 up seeing the game out

In fairness to Zaha, he put in a defensive shift against Southampton too and agree totally with the Villa fans that he changed the game.

Personally I bring him on for the second half or after 50-55 minutes.

With his renewed belief after Southampton, running at the Stoke defence I can see us getting our first penalty of the season.

Whittingham is going to play a big part, from set pieces for us to win this game.

I tend to think that maybe Zaha simply wasn't 'match-fit' when he first arrived and only now he is beginning to show signs of being the player he was for Palarse

I think it doesn't really matter when he is used in the game, but would prefer him on from the start. That would enable us to 'get at' the opposition from the off and (hopefully) not bring him on when we are 1-0 down and on the back foot chasing the game (as has happened too many times this season)

He (Zaha) has had a hard time since coming to Cardiff City and it cannot have been easy for him. Since May last year, he has left his hometown club for the apparent bright lights of Manchester United, seeing his admirer-in-chief (Sir Alex Ferguson) leave, the new guy (Moyes) not fancy him, and a move to 'unfashionable' Cardiff City pretty much 'forced' upon him!

Only time (and there's not much of it left) will tell, but IMHO a partnership of Zaha and Whitts just might be the catalyst by which we avoid the drop this season, but it will take the rest of the team AND THE FANS :bluescarf: to join in the effort and give Cardiff City the momentum with which to stick two-fingers up to the doubters like Lawrenson and a few sad one from this Forum! :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:
