What if ?? It's still possible

Sun Apr 13, 2014 5:21 pm

We have Been through plenty of promotion and relegation battles that have come down to the wire over the years.

This is possible but not probable but you never know?

Looks as if the title race is increasingly between Liverpool and Chelsea?

What If, just what if, it comes down to the last game of the season and Chelsea need to beat us at home to claim the title and send us down. but if we win we stay up and as an added bonus, send Slumsy down instead ??? :o

What a match that would be, eh :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I KNOW, I'M LIVING IN A DREAMWORLD - but stranger things have happened in football.

BLOOOOOBIRDS FOREVER !!!! :old: :bluescarf: :old: :bluescarf: :old: :bluescarf:

I really think we will do the great escape depending if we beat Stoke, Swansea in real danger now as well

If we can beat Stoke on Saturday then it's going to be very interesting, as i can see Norwich (liverpool at home), WBA (Man City away) and Fulham (Spurs) all losing next weekend.

If we win on Saturday we have as much chance as anyone. Sunderland is the big one but I'm quietly confident of getting something from Newcastle :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

We're Gunnar do it! Cardiff boss Solskjaer feeling positive after surprise Southampton win
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER hopes his title winning know-how will help steer Cardiff to a miracle relegation escape.

Manchester United legend Solskjaer is used to heading into the end of season run-in grappling with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea for silverware.

But the Norwegian insists he is treating the battle for survival as if he was trying to add another gong to his impressive medal collection.

The Cardiff boss said: "I finished third one season, and first or second the rest of the time. It's a different situation but you prepare during the week and you perform on the day. That's all that matters.

"It doesn't matter if you've got to beat Liverpool to win the league or if you need a result against Southampton to stay in the league.

"You've got to prepare well. I don't think many expected us to get a point, never mind three, because Southampton are a very good football team and a very good club.

"But if we do our job and get a little bit of help things looks a lot better. One result gives everyone a massive lift and the belief that we can do this.

"We hope Chelsea have won the league by the time we play them in the last game and we do not have the tough run-in Norwich have got, but that doesn't matter.

"You've got to turn up on the day and you've got to perform. You've got to prepare well."

win against stoke, we can draw with sunderland, win in newcastle and not give a toot about the chelski game
if we do lose on of the above quoted wins, then we would need to pull off the great escape and beat chelski.

No matter what I think we're not going to be safe by the start of the Chelsea game. I think we'll need other teams to do us a favour on the final day if we are not down already.

Having said that, if we win the next three in a row we will probably be safe but it's a gigantic ask!

As much as some of our fans would hate it after the 2010 debacle, them lifting the trophy at our stadium would be quite special. The only time we'd get to see it.
