Fair play to Kim

Sat Apr 12, 2014 2:55 pm

He is shocking this year. All he does is look to go down rather than go forward, like a girl on the pitch.
Hope he moves on in the summer. Rather see Joe Ralls given a chance in the middle.

He really needs to man-up :naka:

He knows he's shit so he falls over when he gets the ball.

Respect! :ayatollah:

Fantastic supportive comments yet again from our fans. What's the point of this post??

Re: Fair play to Kim

to an extent I agree with you, giving away possession too easily today for example. however he has shown spells of great play and skill. but there is alot of room for improvement as there is with every player. :ayatollah:

Sorry my opinion on a player is different to you, it's a football forum ffs.

I doubt any of you was at the game yesterday.

He was excellent and was more lively than most of our players first half, looking to run at them and was tearing Luke Shaw a new one on our attacks.

Re: Fair play to Kim

Thought Kim had a good game yesterday. He's intelligent and has good feet, him and Daehli are similar in their vision and ball retention, they don't like to waste possession. Problem we have sometimes is they both look to get on the ball and want to create but very rarely have they got options infront of them, that's when sometimes they cut back looking to find a City player and get caught on the ball, being a little lightweight doesn't help either.

We have got some nice little footballers, if we can use them effectively and get the balance right throughout the pitch then we've got the players to play some nice stuff.

f*cking hell can't believe our fans. Kim was good on Saturday, just when he goes forward there's rarely someone with him. The only player in our team who makes runs is Campbell. Get behind the players ffs. Confidence is an important thing and it's hard to breed confidence with thousands of people moaning whenever you f**k up

I've got no problem with you having a different opinion. It's the fact that you created a post to criticise one of our players. You called him shocking. Did you think he was shocking when he popped up with the injury time goal against Manure to get us a valuable point. Was he shocking when he waltzed through the entire Man City defence to set up the goal for Gunnarsson which helped to gain two extra point that may just keep us in the league. If you think Kimbo is shocking you should have seen some of the players I've watched down the City in the last 45 years. Try supporting the team not criticising one of our most skillful players

Kimbo has some great skill when he gets the ball, but can't keep it due to his lack of strength

Re: Fair play to Kim

Mon Apr 14, 2014 2:49 pm

He just needs to go on the weights and bulk up a bit.

Yes he is shit regardless of the things he did against United and City.

Remember thd Man City game and the games around it?. He was unplayable.

He has been badly managed. He is an attacking midfielder, not holding midfielder or a winger.

He doesn't create enough to play as an attacking midfielder though.

If he was that good we would have scored a lot more goals this season.

In fairness he hasn't been used in the position which suits him, versatile he is but playing to his strengths in the positions he is put in isn't easy.

The first half of the season he was playing in an ultra defensive team under Malky, and when he has played he's been mostly used out wide and he doesn't have the pace of a winger. If he was used in a floating role across the midfield and just in behind Campbell we would see a different player especially if he had a run of games in that position. However, now that we have Daehli I happen to think he is even better than Kimbo in that particular role but that doesn't detract from the fact that Kimbo is one of the cleverest and most skillful players we have at the Club, it's just that our managers haven't been fair to him and have failed to get the best out of him on a consistent basis. People who dismiss him as rubbish are idiots

Kimbo is one of the most skillful players at the club I think there is more to come from him. :thumbright: He can still develop some aspects of his game. A few things though, I don't agree that he has had it especially bad, under malky Bellamy was played out of position, so was Peter o, noone was on the bench. I actually think ogs rates kimbo, he stuck with him for a number of games when people said he was crap and should be ditched. Out of position? Well daehli is also out of position he is not a winger, I guess to some extent it's about taking your chances. I don't often agree with Nathan Blake but i kind of agree that kimbo needs to take more responsibility and be more consistent. Given his ability he should have played a bigger part but I don't feel he ever stepped up to the task in the manner of Marshall, Mutch and Chaulker.

I know what your saying mate and the negativity helps knowone, but a few games/moments aside Kim has been disappointing considering the high hopes we all had and the fact we were only suppose to be a 'springboard' club for him. Weak and not as clinical as we'd have liked. still more to come from him I think tho, he needs to hit the gym! Maybe if the post was slightly more constructive...

I just remember him setting up Frazier Campbells goal last game of our promotion season

Recieved the ball facing towards Marshall in the Cardiff goals, quick look over his shoulder and sees Campbell making a run and flicks the ball 35 yards inch perfect onto Campbells run and Campbell slotted it

Didnt mean much as we were already promoted - but its just the awareness that he had to set up the goal

Hes not a world beater, and we can all see he hasnt stepped up to the premier league standard in the first season (fairly far off it to be fair) but hes got the ability - I think that he will be a decent prem player in a couple of years

But thats just my opinion

Technically gifted on the ball but more meat on a butchers hook so gets boyed off the ball alot hence his going down most the time :bluescarf:
