Red blue mix kit compromise

Fri Apr 11, 2014 8:06 am

Heres a thought. I know there's been much written about our colors but could anybody imagine/accept a blue and red compromise?
Taking example of teams like athletico Madrid, Palace, Gillingham, Barcelona, Croatia, Genoa home 11/12 or Spain..
Its been done often enough and doesnt look too bad. Could this be the way to peace at our club? Probably not but who knows..

I'm sure Karl put up some cracing designs about 2 years ago which featured a couple of mixed designs. some were very smart too!

Havent read too much about mixing blue and red on here or have I missed something?
I think id take a compromise for the sake of the club, this cant go on forever. Its helped f**k up our long sought after season unfortunately

No thanks. A blue and red kit is as alien to Cardiff City as a red and black kit.

Cardiff City are blue and white & always should be. :thumbright:

Thats cos you are two years too late. There were many "compromise" designs on the kit and badge at the time, and whilst some may have accepted the compromise when the rebrand was in its infacy I dont expect many too now. Peopl have had enough of this shit, fake Manchester United.

Red shirt and blue shorts, or red and white shirt with blue shorts are just as alien to our traditional kit as the red and black.

Instead of a fake Man United we just become a fake Crystal Palace, or a fake Dagenham & Redbridge.

We dont want to be a fake anybody. We want our Blue & White back. We want our Cardiff City back.

Something I will agree with Tan on.

Almost as ridiculous as your "holding a blue scarf is aggressive" statement.

Yes, you've missed a lot. One or two people floated this idea when the 're-branding' was first announced. It went down like a lead balloon. And rightly so. We're not Crystal Palace, or Atletico Madrid, were Cardiff City, and we should be playing in blue and white. Possibly with a yellow stripe or trim.

No compromise on the club's traditional colours. It's disingenuous to blame fans who want to return to blue for the pantomime season that is drawing to a close. The blame lies with Tan, the two managers, and the players. We've done our bit.

The fans who want a return to blue were here long before the Premier League. There's a lot more to football than the PL. Its only existed for just over twenty years.

As usual, Natman is talking rubbish.

Since being known as Cardiff City, the club has always worn blue until the man you adore changed that in 2012.

I suppose, what should we expect from the person who said holding up a blue scarf is aggressive.

It's simply got to be Blue & White, maybe with a flash of yellow, & nothing else.

The time for compromise had well & truly gone, two years ago in fact. There can be no more debate or negotiation on this matter, its all or nothing now, as far as I'm concerned, & nothing is what we will be left with, if Tan doesn't change his mindset on this issue!

Agreed. The compromise horse has well and truly bolted as far as I am concerned.

Just for the record. Im against the rebrand and hate everything about it!
I didnt blame the blus movement for ruining our season, we know what went wrong. We have to admit though that without all the blue/red discussion we would have probably been better off.
I dont want city wearing blue and red but its surely better than just red. We need to unite again and stop getting at each other, we are all CCFC.

Unity is better but I dont wish to be united with the likes of that smarmy, arrogant, condesending creature Natman just because we support the same football club.
