Trying to organise a stag trip to Berlin,just wondering has anyone been?,and if it's any good?

Been there at least once a year for the past 15 years on business. The Irish bar is signposted all over the centre, and well worth a visit as they have German pub rock bands playing most nights - highly amusing. Also Quasimodos at the end of Kurstendam is a good live music venues with a reasonable priced bar.

Not telling you anything about the midget strippers though as my wife reads this forum!

Very nice city,plenty of things to see/do,great for a long weekend away but no more than 3-4 days

Very interesting city.Go to the old East German tv tower in Alexanderplaz and book a bicycle tour.Only a few hours but really informative and a cracking laugh. You stop in a park for lunch and beer.You can buy beer on stations and it 's ok to drink on subway but don ' t get pissed or you'llbe off.

I lived there for 2 1/2 years when I was in the Army, what a city. I'm sure it has changed now though as the wall has come down, good red light district (if it's still there).

Top city for a stag! Book yourselves on to one of the pub/club crawls. Full of travellers from all over the world.. especially hot aussie girls!

Don't go on a stag do to Berlin, its a great City and popular with clubbers but not a Stag Do destination in the slightest.

I have lost count of the amount of people I know who have gone to Berlin on Stag do's or for weekends on the piss and come home and said Berlin is shit.

The truth is, its not shit, its a great city to explore and to take your time around taking in a few beers but for most Stag Party's
it is not the place to go by virtue of the fact it is so big and everything is so spread out.

Your spoilt for choice really

If you want somewhere relatively cheap you got the likes of Tallin, Riga, Vilnius etc.

Barcelona & Madrid (Great City's decent for stags)

Prague
Budapest (all great stag destinations)
Krakow

Then you have your Amsterdam, Bratislava and a few others and you can always stay in the UK, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh etc

As for Germany, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Cologne and Munich all for better City's for a Stag do than Berlin.

At the end of the day it depends what you want and everyone is different, but if your just looking for a few days on the lash bar hopping etc I would seriously give Berlin a wide berth as its not that type of place.

Berlin is a great city but i would also recommend Hamburg. Just be careful on the Reaperbahn! The main street is sound as its mostly tourists but the little side streets can be very dodgy.

Yeah went last year, was amazing! The only thing is the lager is a bit pricey, you're looking at 5 Euros a pint.
