Sunderland, us and Norwich to go down. Fulham v Norwich is a big game for both, can see Fulham winning they have good players that are starting to click. Norwich last fixtures are scary.

Wez,
If and I mean if we beat Southampton, I feel we can beat Stoke and Sunderland, but it maybe to late, goal average might hurts us badly.

Annis if we win those three games we will stay up.

Our goal difference will be better by a minimum of three goals.

And the difference would be just 6 goals in favour of Norwich who must be the side we target as the catchable team then.

If Norwich lose their final four games against Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal by two goals in just two of those matches then it really will go down to the wire.

It will come down to how they do against Fulham and us against Newcastle and Chelsea.
A lot of ifs in there but as stated win those three games and we will stay up

Too many omits and buts realistically we can only catch Norwich who play Fulham if Fulham beat them and we beat Southampton we are still behind Fulham then if Norwich lose all their games we need to win one more than Fulham to stay up Fulham have an easier run in and I think they'll win 3 more games which means we need to win four

Which means no f*cking chance lads

For a team willing to roll up it's sleeves & fight it would be realistically possible but this bunch ain't going to do it, Caulker, Marshall , Medel & Noone will always give a good account but there's far too many who can't be arsed as saturday proved, you can't carry passengers in this league & we've got quite a few.

They might be, but is that based on the fact that they just won on Saturday?

The previous games were 3-1 home defeat and 5-0 away. Not sure that is a team that is clicking.

For us to stay up, WE need to do our job in getting 100% behind our team and getting to 34 points minimum.

PLUS, three out of Sunderland, Fulham, Norwich and WBA to cough and splutter their way to the end of game 38 getting as few points as possible.

Annis, keep the faith.

Saturday was a terrible day at the office, but it was against one of the worst sides City could have played.

We have played badly against teams who play team defence as we struggle to play intelligently and patiently enough to hopefully prise open such tight lines of defence. If we had played Palace away, it would have actually been an easier game for us.

It depends which Southampton turns up on Saturday. They have plenty of players who can score (one less without Rodriguez), but they will have a more open midfield and defence playing at home, when compared to Palace's away team defence.

I personally had real concerns about Palace, thinking a draw would have been acceptable.

We have five games where we can possibly get points from. A draw, or especially a win against Southampton could be a catalyst for us to gain the very late momentum required to get us to safety.

I would imagine, if Norwich lose or preferably draw against Fulham, then it would take a great result from Norwich in any of their last 4 games to avoid being relegated.

We are not in control of our own destiny regarding relegation, all we can do is get the results and points to give us the best chance of staying up.

Same applied to the Palace game and any future games. All we can do is play to our absolute potential and hopefully that will be enough to get the results required.

Southampton have conceded 15 goals in their last 7 games.

They have also lost 5 out of their last 8 league and cup games.

They have won 7 out of their 16 home games, drawing 5 with 4 losses.

So they have failed to win in more than 50% of their home games.

I accept our away record is poor, but we have to believe in playing to our potential and realise that EVERY opposition we have left to play, we can get a result from.

Southampton are NOT invincible and have weaknesses which we have to exploit, while defending like we did for the majority of the Everton, Spurs and Villa games.

I would have to be on LSD to believe we are staying up but sadly I'm not and we got no chance as we are not good enough clearly.

I have a feeling if his words were true about some players loyalty issues we might see a very different squad on Saturday.

Could be interesting to see more gifted players benched for players that are going to give 110%.

Which would you rather have?

Personally I'd rather have someone with fight and perhaps less skill than someone who is skilled and would rather play for themselves. Team > Individuals

It is really is fantastic to keep believing, yet the fact of the matter is that the team are awful and perhaps generally getting even worse not better. There are glimmers of hope in some players in some games but overall the performances are awful, so I'm afraid that we are down, I really can't see us winning another game, unless one of those teams has an absolute mare, but it will only be one, which is not enough. It looks like us, Sunderland and Norwich as favourites at this point
