'Tan will walk'

Mon Apr 07, 2014 5:24 pm

Don't invest in something you have no knowledge in - lesson of the scenario.

However, although Tan has gone against this principle, why are we even considering having another season with him at the helm next season?
1) Sacked a successful manager in a disgusting manner.
2) Divided fan base and has destroyed any passion surrounding the club.
3) Publicly mocked players and fans.
4) Replaced a chief scout with someone with no knowledge of football only to be denied a visa.
5) Made our club the laughing stock of football.
6) Made what was supposed to be the season we've all been looking forward to a season of misery.

Honestly, why aren't we doing anything about this when we really don't have to put up with it. Tan has said he 'will walk' if fans continue to disrespect ( disagree with his nonsense ).

Now there has been absolute zero benefits financially to the rebrand and he has yet to sort debts out which was promised when the rebrand first happened.

I think it's inevitable that we are down but that will be clarified last game of the season against Chelsea, a successful BLUE club. So why can't we show Tan he that we want him gone.

Interesting post that in CCFC ( Car Crash Football Club ) but it's unfair to put the total crash down to him. It's been coming for years now lap after lap he was just the driver who stuck it straight through the crash barrier.

The 'crash' as you call it is largely due to him. Cardiff reached a Carling cup final vs liverpool and took them to penalties in a very rememberable game. We had over achieved massively by reaching the play offs also. All was well, playing in Blue, fans fully backed him but then he had to change it all. Rebranded the club against the fans will and the rest is history, gets involved with football matters etc. However before this the club; footballing matters and fans perspective of Tan was good. So why change it? That's when the problems began and that is why Tan is to blame.

A Cup that most arent interested in these days, especially the bank manager.

All wasn't well , other drivers had been at the wheel and the HMRC wanted to pit you forever. Didn't the latest driver just get it back out the garage re paint it and crash it again?

Granted, most clubs aren't interested in the Carling cup but to juggle this with a play off push with the players we had was a success. However Tan is quick to dismiss this and say that if he had the choice Malky would have not been manager. He wanted Shearer because he was a big name just like ole now. If Tan had his way he would have been manager. However the club wasn't full of yes men back then. The clowns are now running the circus. That is why he should go.
As for referring us to a car please stop it's stupid. Other drivers were at the helm yes but once again you don't invest in something you have no knowledge in. Similar to your theme, you don't drive a car if you don't know how to drive it. Previous owner accepted traditions but the comparison is uncanny. Yes he stopped our club from going to administration but what he did next wasn't necessary. "Didn't the latest driver just get it back out the garage re paint it and crash it again?" Exactly that, but he didn't have to.

The mechanics did well along the way though didn't they.

Hasn't the retail park now been flogged on ?

The grey haired old Driver with a big nose bagged plenty of smash too.

Agree current driver driven like an idiot totally the wrong way around the track and employed his own mechanics who's nearest previous must have been Halfords.

You are right.

For 30 years, except 2 in the middle we've been run by people who have no interest in the club, just what they can get out of it. The debts have gone from being an unmanageable £3m in division 4, to an eye-watering £100m in the Prem. Each new owner has added to it and dug us deeper in the crap.

Had the debts been £3m before Tan came in we wouldn't have needed him, but who around here has got the £60m that was requiredto pay off all the creditors (Sam £30m, PMG £10m, Stadium Creditors £6m, Inland Revenue £5m, other clubs, other creditors etc..) we've been slowly slipping into a hole which none of us can deal with and with the chances of a new owner who cares about the club coming in next to nothing then its not looking good.

The only plus point is that there is a bit of value in the squad and we have a potential £60m of parachute payments to come in.

What can we do ?

One thing is to keep pressure on Tan and try to open his eyes that the rebrand is never going to work.

Also IMHO also continue to support the club in numbers to show any potential buyer that the club has a large and loyal fan base.

Finally get ready for dealing with the fall-out if/when the sh1t really does hit the fan. Joining the trust and strengthening their arm is one way to do that, as it's often the Trust that steps in when clubs go through.

Tim, you were going well until you mentioned the Trust.

Like asking the track marshall to put his hands out and stop the car hitting the barrier.
