Eikram is one of the worst if not the worst midfielder at the club , he is awful .

What on earth are you basing that off of? He has only played a few games ffs.

I bet he is better than what he has showed, but from what i am hearing Daehli is much, much more talented than Eikrem even though he is younger people still rate him higher. Manu fans still hope they can get him back, they never talk about Eikrem that way.

Don't think so. I watched the development game today, Berget was way behind Healy in talent in my opinion. :sad7:

This is a bit harsh as they were signposted as players for the future.

Wolf actually looks a tidy enough player for the championship. It's Zaha I've been most disappointed by. Ken too but Odemwingie was awful for us.

Admittedly Daehli is the only one of the new signings who will really make a big impact in the championship.

In the time I have seen him he looks neat and tidy and wants the ball which is more than can be said for more than half of them on saturday. He is being unfairly chastised for giving the ball away for hulls first goal. Players make mistakes they used to be forgiven for some but not as much now

There is a reason eikram is in the development team with players like cowie , whitts , gunnarsson and kimbo all being chosen before him in The first team squad . That reason is the fact he is our weakest midfielder . IMO he is not ready for this level and I think he would struggle in the hustle and bustle of championship midfield battles as well .

It's just my opinion everybody is entitled to one , he's played 5/6 games and shown very little to suggest he will be first choice any time soon .

Both him and John had a good game today :ayatollah:

If Whitts can play in the Championship, surely Eikrem can too. Cracking foot, you havent even seen it yet. The reason he hasnt been playing is because Solskjær wants to protect him from the brutal fans and media. If he had played more and Cardiff still went down, he would get too much unfair blame. Eikrem played a vital role in a midfield that was better than Englands u21 + many other teams, to say he isnt ready for Championship is outrageous, and wrong. A season down in CShip might help him get enough experiance to stabilize himself as a Premier League player tho.

So because he doesn't get picked he is the worst midfielder in our team? I bet you were saying Noone was the worst winger in our side when he didn't start until December...

Not at all , I've always rated noone , he was a bit predictable but has shone in the premier league and done really well .
My view on eikram is just a personal one , everybody will have a player they don't rate and he is mine , I haven't seen him do anything to change my opinion of him hopefully he will prove me wrong and I will be the first to admit it if he does but I ain't holding my breath .
Who would you say is the worst midfielder ? The one you don't rate ?

Question, did you ever see him at Heerenveen, Molde or United's youth sides or hell, even Norway? If not then what you're saying makes no sense.

And to answer your question, easily Gunnarrson or Kim and I rated both of them last season.

I have seen clips of him at his other clubs , he only played 13 times for Herenveen 5 as a sub so struggled to get in a average team in a poor league . Molde and the Norwegian league is nothing to go by as that is no better than the championship .

It's just how you rate players , I rate kimbo he has the technical ability just not the physical presence to compete at this level . Gunnarsson has proven he is a great championship player but that is his level . I have seen nothing of eikram to suggest he is any better than Them so far and I think that is the reason He is in the dvp squad at the moment . Like I said I hope he proves me wrong but like everybody I'm entitled to an opinion that's what boards like this are for .

I also didn't rate zaha from The start but people disagreed with me , now I've been proved right IMO .
On the other hand I said fabio was shit but recently he has proved me wrong and I now have a much more optimistic view on his abilities . swings and roundabouts .

As far as i know he is 23 years old. Why does he need protection? OGS is putting 18 year olds on the team sheet. Declans playing, Daehlis playing. Like i said before, Eikrem is probably better than he has shown so far, but there is no way he would be in the Development team if he was really impressing on the training ground.

to me, Eikrem and Whitts are the same type of player and equally good. but it's safer to use Whitts at this part of the season because the fans and team know him better. Eikrem is a solid solid player, but a bit too slow in possession (at the moment). He can and probably will be a great player.

Berget was always a weird buy to me. He played great in the u21 tournaments, but has never showed anything spectacular or unique. I do believe tho, that he is better than Kenwyne.

No offence but every time I read quotes like this I just want to vomit... All that money wasted, WE DONT HAVE TIME for future investments we needed players who will keep us in the prem!

P.s the worst "future investment" had to be Cornelius, what a total waste of money, rumour has it we are still paying 1/2 of his wage bill! - has anyone else heard this?

Well there is no way to change a Championship squad to a Premiership squad in mid season. Berget and Eikrem are decent Championship players with a development potential.

But at least spend the money on quality players who are here for today!!
