A forum for all things Cardiff City

I've no idea where our club is going....
Forget relegation, I'm struggling to see what's going to happen to the business that is Cardiff City FC....
Quite evidently, Tan will pull out once relegation is confirmed, Ole will leave, the better players will move on and we will be god knows how much in debt with no clear direction.....
Seriously all, where do we go from here?

Why is it evident tan will leave ?
He needs to find a buyer first . That won't be easy
Solskjaer is contracted until end of next season
The players will do what they are told they signed a contract to play for this club

Ole is not contracted til end of next season. He's on a rolling contract of a year...... Meaning, he can give a years notice to leave or be sacked with 1 years salary at any stage....
Tan will not pump any more cash into this club, the last transfer window was evident of that, fair enough he won't just leave but he sure will asset strip as much as he can to reap his cash back....
Finally, do you not think there are relegation clauses in key player contracts???

Ole is contracted to manage the club until next summer .next season is the first of his rolling 1 year contract .
Nobody knows what tan will do , he may asset strip like you say , he might give ole 10mill to get us back up , he might find a new investor it doesn't really matter . Ole was given the funds to get the players he chose to keep us up , he may well have had a lot more just couldn't get them to sign like guerra .
Players may well have relegation clauses but that does not mean any other club will be willing to pay the price set by the club in the contract . I'm sure medel would have a release fee of around 8 mill .
If nobody matches it he will have to stay

spot on...........and i dont get this WE will have all this debt talk..a new owner might end up with a debt, but only should they agree to it............if Tan can not find what in his mind is a new suitable owner he has 2 choices..continue or fold...he is not obliged to sell the club on the cheap to a person that will then owe him millions..
oh and btw.......this dont get said on here.......but should we end up folding bare in mind Cardiff is in Wales not England.......

I doubt it's as difficult as you think. The money tan has invested is by way of loans, so say tan has invested 100 mil then we have 100 mil of debt. Tan could sell all his shares for 1 penny and he still gets back his 100 mil because Cardiff still owe it to him

If they go down who in there right mind would buy a championship club for anywhere near 100mill ?
It will be hard , I can only see two options for him , have a fire sale of all assets then sell the club for a smaller fee taking a moderate loss or chuck another 10 mill at it and get us back up

Its about assets as well.

Players - £30 million

Don't they own the lease, and it needs to be for sporting use only.... I may have read that on here, so it may not be correct

The stadium is not mortgaged from the council. It is owned by the club but the council have a covenant on the land so that the stadium can not be sold off and demolished for retail or housing etc.
