Is the tinkering the problem ?

Sun Apr 06, 2014 9:03 am

I think a team needs consistency in its selection to play at this level . Ole in my eyes makes way to many changes from one game to the next . This shows the extent of his tinkering , I never realised he made so many changes

Man city - 4 changes to team 4-5-1
Man utd - 3 changes to team 4-5-1
Norwich - 3 changes to team 4-4-2
Swansea - 3 changes to team 4-5-1
Aston villa - 4 changes to team 4-4-2
Hull city - 5 changes to team 4-5-1
Spurs - 7 changes to team - 5-3-2
Fulham - 4 changes to team 4-5-1
Everton - 3 changes to team 4-5-1
Liverpool - 1 change to team 5-4-1
West brom - 3 changes to team 5-4-1
Palace - 4 changes to team 4-5-1

Its about beliefs...

OLG believe in playing a certain way, and we haven't the players to play the system in the premier league.

With the players we had Pulks would have saved us for a season.

You need to indicate how many of the changes were forced due to injuries /players being available after injuries
Not sure if we lost any other players to suspensions other than bellamy

In my opinion he is making too many changes. It reminds me of the tinkering David Moyes did at Man U first half of the season. Especially to settle the back 4 or 5 is something that should have been done with care. As a man motivator i think he is good, the problem is more that the current squad is not good enough. If he is to continue, he will probably fill the squad with a lot of talents that he will keep tinkering with. He has the ability to attract good talent to the club at a reasonable cost, so in that sense he might build a good enough squad to get Cardiff promoted again.

Even if we say that 1 of the changes per game was down to injury .it would still average out at around 3 changes per game .
As for suspensions I'm not sure we have had any yet have we ?
