Former Cardiff City recruitment chief Iain Moody was refused entry into the club's directors' box ahead of the clash with Crystal Palace, according to reports
The Mirror claims Moody, who was axed by the Bluebirds in October 2013 , was made to sit among away supporters on his return to the club.
Owner Vincent Tan, who was in the directors' box himself, accused Moody and former manager Mackay of instigating a £15m summer overspend following promotion to the Premier League - an accusation both men strongly deny.
Moody maintains he has never been given an explanation as to why the club decided to replace him with 23-year-old rookie Alisher Apsalymov.
And, according to the Mirror, Cardiff advised Crystal Palace that he wouldn't be welcome in the directors' area ahead of today's Premier League relegation clash.
In a recent explosive interview , Tan said one day he will tell fans the "truth" about the saga surrounding the sacking of Mackay once a legal case between Cardiff and the Scot has concluded.
He said: "Fans are not involved in the management, fans don't know the details, my message to the fans is: I came to your town, I saved your club, I put in a lot of money, I took it up after 51 years into the Premier League.
"Supporters, it is your club. Why do you want to do stupid things and be influenced by people who have done things not right for the club?
"You will know later that they have not done things right for the club
"Without me, this club would have gone down and the way they have spent money, if I don't put in more money, we will be in trouble again."
