still 15 points to play for

Sat Apr 05, 2014 7:41 pm

last time I looked anyway
would nt want to be in the trenches with a lot of our fans
ffs im sure most of you have off days in work and find exscuses as to why
today I didn't agree with oles starting 11 (gave my opinion on team selection and tactics in 442 a must thread) before todays game
I would love to ask ole why he chose turner over cala as cala,s quality on the ball and superior passing was more suited to todays opponents
why taylor instead of john (surely johns injured)
why ktc and not Fabio (Fabio just finding match fitness)
and certainly why jones and not bellamy (bellamy and cambell both closing down there defenders would surely have worked better
why daelhi and not no one (daelhi now knows its not as easy from the start as coming on later when the oppositions midfielders and defenders are tireing )
however we will never no
what I do know is ole picked that team im sure thinking they were the best to get the result we needed and they ALL let him and us fans down very badly
but I will be at Southampton supporting my football club next Saturday as its still possible(yes I know unlikely )we could save ourselves and until its mathematically imposible I will have hope and belief
so all you doom and gloom merchants I say think again theres a lot worse going on out there in our big world that's more important than winning or losing a football match or going back to the championship and if that happens so what
we will just have to go and win it again :ole:

:bluescarf: :ole: Totally agree with you chief! If we do go down we need to regroup as a club and head straight back up! My only concern is that our best players will goto bigger clubs and we will be left with a championship squad. Teams like Derby, Ipswich and Brighton will test us if we lose our better players. KEEP THE FAITH!!!! :ayatollah:

Why on earth would you play 4-4-2 against a side who pack the midfield? Never mind the fact you have to be a really good side to pull it off well (Altetico Madrid, Man City even City have reverted to 4-2-3-1) in the top leagues.

People ridiculed me when i said i would have started Cowie down the right in a 4-5-1, but that's exactly why because he would have helped us packed the midfield and allows KTC to get forward and overlap (as he did at the beginning of the season when he was at his best).

Cowie's not everyone's cup of tea, even I don't think he's necessarily someone you want to start week in week out in the Prem. But at least he puts a decent shift in and cross a ball for Jones to get on the end of, unlike Zaha who is useless as far as i'm concerned.

Tactically sh*te today! To get beat by teams such as Hull and Palace so easily is joke! Fair enough if we had been beaten 3-0 by Chelsea, Man City etc but Palace!!!! :bluescarf:

I will be very surprised if we gain a single further point this season.
