If it's a flat screen it sounds like the flux capacitor has jammed . You just need to find the falanji on the back and press the reset button :thumbright:

No mate there is no 'Falanji' on the TV and I was only having a laugh :thumbup:

Firstly to check your remote is working, if you look through a mobile phone camera at the infra red light on it, it should blink when you push a button. (not pulling your leg, try on anything remote and you can see) if not the remote has had it.
If the remote seems to be fine then it sounds like your power supply capacitors, these will expand and retract with heat and are a common fault on some tv's.

:lol: I was only playing

The best thing to do in my opinion is ring the manufacturer and ask them or look online to see if anyone has had a similar problem with the same make and model . Not many tv engineers around anymore .
