" CARDIFF CITY " :bluescarf:

' Duo want to start for Bluebirds Cardiff City '

Cardiff's on-loan winger Wilfried Zaha is pushing for a start in the vital match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Manchester United youngster impressed when coming off the bench in the draw at West Brom last weekend and hopes to play against the Eagles.
Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will also have winger Craig Noone available, Noone has missed the last three games because of a groin injury but looks set to feature when Palace arrive in Wales.

Solskjaer could start with the side that drew 3-3 at West Brom last weekend with no fresh injury or suspension worries ahead of the relegation scrap.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, now third from bottom but having played three more games than 19th-placed Sunderland, had already shown great character to come back from an early two-goal deficit at the Hawthorns and the result will strengthen their belief that they can still survive. To do so they’ll need to win as many games as possible, starting with this home match against another rival.

Team News

Ole is expected to have a fully fit Squad to pick from.

Apart from Mark Hudson who is expected to be out for the season.

Cardiff City go in to this game with only 2 wins from their last 12 games under Solskjaer.

This is a must win game for City ,anything less and Championship football will start to become a reality.

There is hope – or perhaps has to be hope – that Saturday’s visit of Crystal Palace gives opportunity for some of the new Bluebirds to play a greater part. But those still waiting to be convinced by Cardiff’s appointment of Solskjaer will not have ignored the fact that nine of Saturday’s side were Mackay signings – nor the January work done by Palace.

Cardiff City: We must win 'every game', says Jordon Mutch

Midfielder Jordon Mutch says Cardiff City need to win all of their remaining games to survive in the Premier League.

Cardiff City's survival hopes were kept alive by a 93rd-minute equaliser from Mats Moller Daehli in the 3-3 draw with West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

The 19-year-old Norwegian's first Premier League strike prevented the Bluebirds from falling six points adrift of the Baggies and top-flight safety.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping that this goal will give Cardiff momentum when they continue their battle against the drop at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Welsh outfit could move level on points with 17th-placed Albion and drag Palace, who are five points ahead of them, right back into the relegation scrap with victory at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Fabio da Silva was hauled off in the first half and replaced by Old Trafford loanee Wifried Zaha as the Bluebirds switched to a 4-4-2 system, which they may employ from the start against Palace.

Eagles chairman Steve Parish has admitted his interest in resigning Zaha this week, but the ex-Selhurst Park favourite could line up against the team that he inspired to promotion on Saturday.

" CRYSTAL PALACE "

Palace’s away form is poor generally, but particularly bad at Cardiff, where they’ve failed to win on their last nine visits. The Eagles though, while not soaring, have improved in recent matches away and are capable of doing what they did at Sunderland and grinding out a draw.

A shock 1-0 triumph over title-chasing Chelsea at Selhurst Park in their last outing boosted Palace's hopes of securing consecutive seasons in the Premier League for the first time.

It was their fourth home win in six matches, but their away form is not so encouraging, with the Eagles having not collected maximum points on the road since a Boxing Day success over Aston Villa.

Tony Pulis is not a manager to change a winning formula and therefore could name the same starting XI that claimed the scalp of the Blues, although Marouane Chamakh is pushing for a recall.

Palace are hoping that the Moroccan striker could be fit to return following a month out with a hamstring injury and if he is, he could replace former Cardiff forward Cameron Jerome up front.

Thomas Ince, who rejected the chance to join Cardiff last summer, may again have to settle for a place on the bench alongside fellow January arrival Wayne Hennessey, who has yet to play for the Londoners.

The starting line-up is pretty good except that Taylor concerns me a bit. Is John injured lately?

Ah well, that last minute goal last week gave us a glimmer of hope but alas it just delayed the inevitable. Palace about to do the double over us which is shocking considering the distance between the teams coming into the season.
