If possible, could as many as you as possible help a fellow Bluebird out.

I play bass in a band called "With Best Intentions" and we have entered a competition to play this years Download Festival alongside bands like Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Status Quo and more!, its a daily voting system which means you don't just need to get the highest amount of votes, its who can keep the votes coming for the lengthy period of time!

I know its a little farfetched dream, but it would be great if you could help me out in trying to get it to come true!

as a musician i hate when bands get these big opertunities just from having a big presence on social media, i don't think any music should be competative...BUT saying that i have voted for u so good luck. playing a fest is an amazing feeling. Im playing one in a few weeks (slightly smaller than download though )

Hope you dont mind me saying.... I listened to the song, very current sound (instrumental) and will be popular, i had good hopes when i heard the intro - but that lead singer has to go surely? Clearly trying to copy Hayley Williams but really doesnt have the voice to do so.

Thank You!, and Don't mind at all!, everyone is allowed an opinion , a lot of people have said they like her vocals, but we have had a few comments like your saying the opposite, we have some other songs, where (i feel) the vocals are a lot better, i will post some links in a short while

Personally I think it makes it doubley as hard for a band with a female lead singer... 1. because she's always going to be compared to Hayley Williams, i mean there's some decent bands with such as Hey Monday, We are the In Crowd etc but none anywhere near as successful as Paramore... 2. Half a band's fans will be girls who think they're "in love" with the male lead singer who has the look, you lose that with a female lead singer since guys aren't so fanatical.

I do agree with the posts above saying her voice isn't the greatest either, perhaps get an unclean vocalist in too to add something else to the band? Impressed with the other aspects though.

If your all mates just playing for the fun of it then its cool, but if you want to get somewhere (and you defo could in my opinion) then getting rid of the paramore comparisons would be the first step because in that genre - everyine else just looks like rubbish copycats.

Good instrumentals and riffs but her voice just makes the song a bit meek as she doesn't have the gritty power that someone like Hayley Williams has (sorry to compare again) which you need with a female rock/emo sound. Otherwise it just doesnt work.

I think you have good potential to be a Fightstar type band. Maybe your lead singer could be the sort of Alex Westaway secondary singer (not sure how familiar you are with themnor inded of she can play guitar) although itsnt easy to fnd a Charlie Simpson vocal admittedly.

Your guitar playing is very current though and some tweeking and you may not have to enter comps to play at festivals. The fightstar sound will always sell and instrumentaly you are probably not far away
