Crystal Palace could make a second attempt to bring Wilfried Zaha back if they stay in the Premier League
CRYSTAL Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has admitted the club could make a second attempt to bring Wilfried Zaha back to the Eagles.
The winger, currently on loan at Cardiff City from Manchester United, would be welcomed back to Selhurst Park with open arms.
Palace tried to bring Zaha back in January but Red Devils boss David Moyes didn't want him returning to London.
And as Palace get set to face the Academy product this weekend, Parish believes the club could negotiate a deal should they stay in the Premier League and look to push on further.
"We know where we're at as a football club, we're not deluded because we had one great result (against Chelsea)," Parish said.
"We have got to carry on performing like that and we've got to get a bit of luck.
"Wilf's a fantastic player and I certainly think we'd be interested.
"I don't think Manchester United have said anything official because he's their player.
"If a player like that did become available then I'm sure we would be interested.
"If we are fortunate enough to stay in the division then obviously we'll be trying to kick on and establish ourselves and try to get up towards mid-table, or more comfortable at least.
"Certainly, Wilf is a player worthy of that division and is a player that can help anybody.
"At the weekend you saw him come on for Cardiff and change the game.
"If a situation like that arose with the kind of player, of course we would be interested."
