Not sure if Noone is fit and I don't think I'd trust Zaha to play against Palace.

Why completely waste Dhaeli out wide in place of Bellamy? Surely they should be swapped around or even leave the ever so useless Bellamy out.

On paper, Koumas was out on the left during his first spell with us, but playing him wide gave him license to roam. You can't give anyone a free role in the middle, the team loses its shape and it leaves us wide open! Daehli is a little too lightweight at his young age to be in Bellamy's position as he will get bullied by the centre backs, it makes much more sense to play him out wide where he will have more space and he will have more time to turn and run with the ball there. Daehli has been outstanding the past few games down the left, picking up the ball, running at players and cutting in to open things up. Why play him elsewhere to disrupt his recent good form? Ole is playing Daehli perfectly and I want to see him starting in the same position Saturday.

^^^ agreed, he looks good out wide. He can turn players inside out and looks good cutting inside. Bellamy hasn't got that ability to hit the bi line any more, but still puts a shift in playing in the hole and has the experience to play there too, I don't think he's been playing that bad, kim has been the worst midfielder in recent games for me, too lightweight and wasteful so much for Cardiff being a stepping stone for him can't see any bids coming in!!!

He is not a winger he is more of a cam/trequartista though he can play out wide. He played in the hole against wigan in the FA cup, man of the match. From what i understood he had a free role when he played for his national team and excelled in that role too, again man of the match.

I would like to see him have a go in one of those positions at some point in PL. But I do get your point that he may be too young and lightweight to play there yet however i do feel its a bit of a waste of his talents to play him wide. Bellamy works really hard for the team but lacks Daehlis creativity. Palace would suit Daehli you need someone who can do clever things to unlock their defence. Tbh though i am not even sure OGS will start Daehli i can see him bringing back Kim against Palace.

I agree with a lot of what you say. I guess my main worry with Daehli is I don't want to see him with his back to goal getting clattered by centre backs. I would rather him come a bit deeper, get on the ball and run towards goal. I think Daehli is much more dangerous running towards goal in more space out wide with his head up than receiving the ball in the middle with players around him in a congested area.

Because he is better than Theophile-Caterine who im amazed is even in our squad at the moment, poor at best.

Problem is despite spending a fortune in the summer we didnt bring in a quality fullback (just two poor ones).

Nope.

But if Ole was then we'd have 5 more points now based on their points to game ratios this season, so maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing.

 to be fair, my original post has 11 men in Ole's team, yet Bellamy is gone when he's quoted me for some reason.
