Sunderland have a pretty tough fixture list remaining, but Swansea last. Hmmmmm.

Tough run in. Hopefully we can send them down when we go there.

can't see them getting any more than 4 points from those games, 6 at best.

Brilliant result for us tonight. However I will not rest easy until we get points on the table rather than rely on others to lose. End of the day who would have thought Palace would have beaten Chelsea on Saturday? Sunderland certainly have the potential to get a shock result.

this time of the season is so exciting, and now we're in the thick of it there are hardly any "neutral" games for us. seems strange to be counting points for survival instead of play offs but its hardly boring. believe! :ayatollah:

West Ham United have moved closer to English Premier League safety and kept Sunderland in the relegation zone with a 2-1 win away.
Andy Carroll, formerly a striker with Sunderland's arch north-east rivals Newcastle, headed West Ham into an early lead on Monday and Mohamed Diame made it 2-0 to the east London club shortly after half-time.
Sunderland substitute Adam Johnson pulled a goal back for the hosts in the 65th minute to the joy of the Stadium of Light crowd but they were unable to build on that.
Victory took 11th-placed West Ham onto 37 points, three short of the traditional survival mark of 40, but the result meant Sunderland stayed second bottom on 25 points, four shy of safety with eight games remaining.
