Empty Stadium Blue Protest

Sat Mar 29, 2014 9:41 am

Thanks to all the organisers and participants of the march last week.Felt like I had my club and community back if only for an hour.My point is while are struggle is now fairly well known in the media let 's now go one further. If , by the Chelsea game,we are either safe or relegated what is the feeling of fans of staying away and leaving stadium empty as Lazio did recently.Chelsea may well be presented with the Trophy for winning what is regarded as the best league in the world in our blue stadium and wearing blue shirts and with the new stand waiting to be fitted with reds seats.( fact SW Police)This would be broadcast worldwide and ,not wishing to disrespect our owner ,whose naivity and non understanding of the passion and heritage of football clubs has led us here, would hopefully be just too much bad publicity to stomach. What would rather tell your grand children :I was there when Blakey beat Man City, when Youngy beat Leeds, when Campbell beat QPR, and choose one of the following;when we emptied our stadium for our beliefs or when we lost 4 - nil to Chelsea in an acedemic game.Of course all this goes out of the window if we need a point from the Chelsea game where rather than empty and eerily quite CCS would be a cauldron in 27000.(me included)

That would be very difficult to organise. Would be great to happen but can you see it.

The best we can do is wear the blue in the stadium.

I'd be more than happy to boycott but like you said it would be very difficult to organise. I don't think we would get enough numbers for it to be effective if I'm being honest.

Staying under the stands or a walk out would be easier to organise I think.

Yeah like people are going to miss the Chelsea game

Why would you even think of boycotting a game? If you don't want to go and support your team then don't bother.

So boycotting a game will get our identity back will it?

At 19 minutes 27 seconds we all get up and leave in the final protest of the season.

Hopefully many more will join us.

I think this needs to be done!!!

It all depends how much of a statement us as fans want to make to let tan no how much are true identity means to us as fans.
Its voting with your feet a very bold statement and one I would definitely do if only we could organise it.

Lazio did it so its hardly impossible is it.

Why am I gonna not turn up to a game I paid money for with my season ticket

Re: Empty Stadium Blue Protest

think the players deserve a lot more respect, after all the hard work they have put in this season the last thing they deserve is a lap of honour in an empty stadium

so are you saying the reason you do not attend is because of the colour change and that before the rebrand you was attending regulary?
