Free FIFA 14 game your season ticket ( this Saturday)

Wed Mar 26, 2014 7:02 pm

Manchester United, Cardiff and West Bromwich Albion fans are being offered the chance to draw a line under a miserable campaign and trade in their season tickets for a copy of Fifa 14.

Video game retailer GAME has announced that it will run the offer this Saturday, after Manchester United’s dire 3-0 derby defeat by Manchester City at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

If you take any valid season ticket into a participating store, they will hand you a copy of FIFA 14, Football Manager, or if you want to add to your own personal misery, Pro Evo.

Supporters of all three clubs are being invited to swap their valid season tickets for a copy of either Fifa 14, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 or Football Manager 2014.

“The same night Fellaini can be sold to Coventry and Vincent Tan’s controversial red Cardiff home kit reset to traditional blue,” said GAME spokesperson Stephen Lynn.

“No wonder so many fans turn to football games for entertainment and escape on a Saturday night.

“If you’re in shellshock from a long season of humiliating defeats, terrible transfers and interfering owners then this is the chance to restart it.

“Instead you can go home with a game, sack your manager, sign Ronaldo and see your team walk out at Wembley or the San Siro to win a trophy.”

What's to stop me handing it in then telling the club I've lost my ticket?

That's a good point didn't think of that :D

It costs a tenner for a new one though but still 20odd quid off the game

Very true. If the club gave you a new one, theres not a lot legally Game could do about it no matter what you've signed with them.

The only action that can be taken is if the club take action against you (highly unlikely they'll probably laugh their arses off) as ultimately I believe the season ticket belongs too the club and not you. ;)

It's the shop in the retail park next door to the stadium which worries me a little as I wonder if they have got some deal on... I've tweeted the club to see if they can tell me what's what.

I'll probably lose my seat either way now

Very much doubt whether the clubs involved would get into a deal of this nature with GAME. If that became public it would look very bad on the clubs involved as they would be enticing fans to hand in there season tickets so that they could re-sell your seat. In fact, it would be Panorama material! ;)

It would have to be advertised as 'GAME, in conjunction with Cardiff City Fc' etc. And I really cannot see how any of the clubs named in the deal would get involved at a crucial time. I'ts like saying "Yeah we know we are struggling, but we don't need your support", Also there is Zero chance of Sunderland, Hearts or maybe even West Brom re selling the ticket! So whats in it for them? I just don't think GAME have thought this through enough!

You;d be better off selling it, then you can buy a game if you wish and have £50 + left over

Of course. I'm sure you'd get more than the £30 GAME are offering you. This is nothing more than cheap advertising.

Or you can just buy it for £15 off eBay like I did and save yourself a lot of money.
