Sad day for our club

Tue Mar 25, 2014 8:01 pm

One of the longest serving staff at the club Julian Jenkins is resigning from our club after 14/15 years,he is commercial director at the club and is the man many single out as a driving force for our club winning family club of the year a number of times. My mates missus who works at the club said the staff are sad Julian is going,he finishes at the end of May.

A long serving local guy is leaving the club who I think some on here know well and will say he is a good guy.

Yes indeed it is a sad day for our club, Julian a City fan since a kid and worked at our club in high positions for 14 years and someone with brilliant ideas and has also helped take our club forward, its a big loss for our Club.
Not good in my opinion.
But Good luck in your new job Jules and thanks for your loyal and good service

Top guy Julian :ayatollah:

People would be surprised how many people down the city have worked there for a similar number of years though . Their is quite a lot over the 10 year mark .

Very true thomas but most of them living in fear of their jobs now. Not a happy work place under the current regime.
Lost a good man in Julian but not to worry there's a painter out there looking for a job back at the club

I got nothing but praise and good words to say about Julian, he has been nothing but helpful whenever I have needed it.

The club are losing a wealth of experience but more importantly someone who understands this club inside out.

Think that's the aim Carl, get rid of anything that holds memories for the old CCFC.

Shame about Julian a good man.

Could be right there Jules, our club has become a difficult place for many staff to work at. Keep your head low and hope your not spotted. If you speak up you are a goner.

Nat, 2 years ago Julian could of gone to Saracens Rugby in a very high position, the Owner begged him to join them, but Jules stayed with Cardiff due to massive loyalty then, I will leave it there. Julian has resigned and leaves on May 30th.

Had a few meeting with Julian when there was all the hype about my badge and the clubs badge. He was the main man putting in all the hours trying to get rid of tans badge. He did a lot for me and my family and I won't forget that. True gent and a bluebird forever. Wish him well for the future.

Jenks - simply a great mate and a bloody top bloke.

We over the years have done many things together.

Always a great laugh and when I thought I could blag - he was the king .

We even ended up on Kilroy together , I sat at the back whilst he fronted the show !

Great man , great friend and wish him all the best in his new ventures

So what's the reason behind it all?

Re: Sad day for our club

Tue Mar 25, 2014 11:35 pm

Reason simple.... New ventures. It's been on the cards a while now. Nothing sinister in it.
