' West Brom facing injury crisis ahead of Cardiff City clash '

Albion Pepe Mel was today facing a mounting injury crisis ahead of Saturday’s crucial clash with Cardiff after Gareth McAuley and Victor Anichebe joined his growing list of casualties.

Pepe Mel was today awaiting updates on the pair, who both limped off during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Hull.

The Spaniard is already without the suspended Jonas Olsson and the injured duo of Chris Brunt and Diego Lugano for Saturday while Billy Jones and Morgan Amalfitano missed the Hull game with hamstring problems and are battling to recover for the weekend.

“There is a problem and it’s a worry for us,” admitted Mel. “We need everyone to be available for us at this stage of the season.”

Pepe Mel " Now our only focus is to win the next match against Cardiff."

Looks like the Baggies are losing their boing, just in time to watch the Bluebirds fly. I sense a long overdue away victory in a sea of blue in the top corner.

I will only feel optimistic if we win our next 2 games. I'm putting faith in the way the team is playing at the moment and hopefully against lesser opposition we will get the next 2 wins. The situation at WBA cannot come at a better time.

We need a minimum of 9 points from WBA, Palace, Sunderland and Stoke.

By time cardiff has some luck. Cant see any luck comes from playing in lucky red.
We need it, as our defence is a huge problems. Liverpool Could have out both 8 or 9 on saturday if they needed to,
Our defence was a mess.

until the 3pts are in the bag on Saturday I wont be thinking about the next game, we are talking about Cardiff City here we don't do anything the easy way. WBA are missing players all it means is the ones that come instead can make a name for themselfs

And they'll want a point to prove. Any player that gets the opportunity to perform and claim a spot in the starting 11 will go out and give there all. West brom have good players who don't often get picked or called upon so this is their moment they've been waiting for. If you go into the game thinking they've lost this and that player and think it'll be easy then fans will be very mistaken and will have the opposite effect and result. Need to go into the game believing they are fielding their possible strongest starting 11.

That you did. It doesn't really bother me that much mate that internet geeks are banging one out saying what they do. The proper Cardiff fans are like you who I chat with prior too the game and during and after with beers. I'm not going anywhere from this fourm so these prem loving new found wealth and stardom and living in non reality should sit back and remember that it can be short lived.

Re: ' Not looking good for WBA '

Tue Mar 25, 2014 5:16 pm

Not meaning to sound to negative but when West Ham came to us they had a lot of injury's and they beat us soundly 2-0

I think the best thing for the fans & the team is to forget whats going on at WBA and focus on Cardiff

Re: ' Not looking good for WBA '

Tue Mar 25, 2014 5:28 pm

Whatever happens we would be stupid to listen to all the paper talk and underestimate WBA. That would be naïve. Ole realises that they will want to beat us in front of their home crowd, because if they don't, we move towards survival and they move further towards relegation.
