He's playing in his correct position up there, like he said malky was using him as a target man which he clearly is not, glad he's doing well.

Yeah he didn't fit into our system lone striker or out wide, he's a nice Guy too glad he's doing well

Scored again for Stoke today that's 4 in his last 6 games.
Ole made a mistake letting him go imo and would have done well for us and scored us the goals to keep us up.
Odemwingie has already said that malky used him in the wrong way and that's why he wasn't effective here but under ole I think he would have thrived

A better finisher than Kenwyne imo, but we Kenwyne is better in the air, and if we can get crosses in, Jones would be better to have than Odemwingie.

Yet if he didn't score those goals people would praise Ole for selling him. Fickle.

Odemwingie here just didn't work, sometimes that happens with transfers. I am personally happy to see him gone, lazy, uninterested, on a big wage and probably had one good match for us. He played a few times under Ole right back at the start of January and did nothing. So nothing to suggest he'd have gone on a scoring run under Ole.

He seems to play better in a front 2, hardly ever happened with us, more often out wide or up top on his own?

Whether Malky played him out of position or not, he was still shite. Even when he was on the ball he couldn't take a man on, couldn't pass or couldn't shoot. Neither of those have anything to do with what position you're playing

Bang, another for Odemwingie

Just goes to show what a manager who knows what he's doing can do with a player, malky was clueless.

Osaze Odemwingie was the hero for Stoke City as he scored to give them a 1-0 home win over Hull City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Odemwingie netted just past the hour-mark, as he intercepted a cross-field pass from Ahmed Elmohamady before surging forward to hit a left-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner.

Hull's Sone Aluko came on in place of Alex Bruce in the 70th minute, but the visitors were unable to find a way back.

Odemwingie has hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks, and has scored five goals in nine games for the Potters since his arrival in January.

Stoke are lying 10th on the table with 40 points from 32 games, while Hull aew seven points poorer in 14th spot.

KWJ Scored the winner against Norwich - one of the most important goals of the season so I don't think he can be counted as a poor buy

The Stoke boss insists the striker was not a 'risky' signing and believes his side's performances will improve without the threat of relegation

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes paid tribute to Peter Odemwingie for his match-winning contribution in Saturday's 1-0 triumph over Hull City.

STOKE CITY LATEST
14/1 Stoke are 14/1 with Bet365 to beat Chelsea next Saturday
The 32-year-old lit up a lacklustre affair at the Britannia Stadium, pouncing on a loose pass from Ahmed Elmohamady before finishing a mazy run with a fierce left-footed strike past Steve Harper.

It marked a third goal in as many Premier League matches for Odemwingie, and takes his tally to four in total since making the switch to Stoke from Cardiff City in January.

Hughes was thrilled with the strike, and believes the Nigerian is thriving due to being "happy in his environment".

"We're pleased with what he's producing," Hughes said. "He's obviously come in and he wasn't a risk really because he's an accomplished Premier League player who has scored goals at this level so we know what we were getting.

"But you always hope the period of going to a new club, settling down and getting used to who's around you in the dressing room is short.

"In fairness to Peter he's come in and seamlessly picked up some outstanding form. I think that comes in being happy in his environment and happy in the players that surround him.

"We're reaping the benefits because he's a major factor in us winning today."

Well it's not going to - as we are pretty much relegated after today - but it least we are 18th with a tiny chance than 20th with no chance
