' A BIG THANK YOU! from the March Organisers '

Sun Mar 23, 2014 1:19 pm

Many thanks to everyone who played their part in making yesterday's peaceful protest a huge success. It's estimated that 4000+ fans took part in the march with many many thousands more joining in for the Sea Of Blue demonstration at 19mins 27secs inside the stadium. Police have praised the behavior of all who took part and added that "It couldn't have gone any better".
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=138411

Sea of Blue
The Sea of Blue demonstration at 19 mins 27 Secs was not only a spectacular sight that would have warmed the hearts of many Bluebird fans, it was also a crystal clear message to the Club and the footballing world world that the over whelming majority of Cardiff City fans do not support the re brand and strongly desire a return to traditional blue. We ask all Cardiff fans to please continue the Sea of Blue demonstration @ 19 mins 27 secs for all future games, as a dignified yet strong, visual gesture of our true desire to return to blue and our pride in our Club's heritage and traditions.

Meeting
March organisers did not meet with the Club Chairman yesterday. All CCFC supporters groups involved felt that a 10 minute meeting before kick off would not have been enough time to give the matter the adequate attention that the issue so rightly deserves. So we politely thanked the club for the offer and welcomed the opportunity to speak again in the near future as soon as a formal meeting could be arranged. We also requested that when the meeting does take place, we would expect it to be minuited for all Cardiff City fans to read. The club accepted our polite decline and said they will work with us to arrange a meeting as soon as possible, we look forward to meeting them shortly.

So BIG thanks again to all involved for whatever part you played in making the Peaceful Protest such a success.

A great day & and well done to you and all the organisers. Very important that we now do the 19:27 Sea Of Blue at every game, home and away. I'd also like to see scarves up for Men Of Harlech too as it would help build the pre-match atmosphere.

The Sea of BLUE during the game was Steve's aka Hiya mate! Alright? idea

Also behind the scenes for 2 weeks Steve has been working 24/7 with us regarding this march, fair play the amount of hurdles we had to get over to get everyone together, I nearly lost the plot

Thanks to Steve, Carl, Sian,Mallo, Anthony Paris and all the Supporters groups we held it together for a highly successful and peaceful march. The club and the Police last night contacted me to thank everyone on how organised and peaceful it went.

Well over 4,000 marched, confirmed by the Police and Highways dept.

" THE REAL BIG THANK YOU GOES TO EVERYONE WHO TURNED UP AND MARCHED AND JOINED IN THE SEA OF BLUE "

We will eventually get our True Identity back, so lets keep it going :ayatollah:

:ayatollah: " WE ARE CARDIFF CITY WE WILL ALWAYS BE BLUE " :ayatollah:

Well done to all :ayatollah:

Was a pleasure to be involved in that, and fair play to all the organisers.

I haven't been that proud in a very long time.

If we can keep The Sea of Blue going for every match at 19.27 then I think the numbers will increase even more.

Those who say it won't help the team, well we scored not long after the 19.27 mark and you all saw Ole applaud all stands at the end.

Annis - I was going to come up to you and Sian at the end to give my thanks but you both looked like you just wanted to get in the ground!

Top work though to all :ayatollah:

I had the goosebumps a couple of times yesterday, when we did sit down / stand up for your history I nearly got emotional  , it felt like the old cardiff city was back for a few hours at least.

i was buzzing (and knackered  )going into the ground and that has happened for a good while.

The protest did not distract the players as the negatives were trying to suggest beforehand in fact quite the opposite. I think everyine was charged up, the atmosphere cranked up, and along with the cracking start on the pitch it made for the best atmosphere since Man City.

Even when we started getting bashed in the pitch I thought the crowd stayed with the lads which was good to see.

We gotta keep this up for rest of season now, not just for the big games.

Absolutely spot in our eyes it was a success with more to come and bigger events - there was more issues behind the scenes than on the day and at the end of the day it's about the colour - badge and our history to many people negative about trouble all the time yesterday was a great example of how much it means to the dedicated bluebird fan - waving scarves yesterday and lifting at 19mins 27 seconds was awesome - atmosphere was electric at times surely any owner any club or stadium manager would wish to have fans happy vibrant loud and passionate without being offensive to any away supporters and in our our case our owner - any how onwards and upwards we still need to be the 12th man for the players till the end !
