NUMBERS ARE DECEIVING

Concerning yesterday's turnout I don't think numbers are the issue but more important is the hard work done by several supporters groups is finally catching on.The Liverpool game at Anfield was the first sign the tide is turning and yesterday showed more fans are getting on the side of Blue especially at the CCS. Numbers can be deceiving and when there is a General election not everyone goes out and votes and that's just the way it is.With respect most of us are sheep(excuse the pun) and if the latest trend is to wear a woolly hat with a flower on top then many would follow and get that hat and the same goes for blue.In the beginning a lot of talk was centred around the message boards of which a small percentage of match going fans use so the low numbers were not surprising.What I see now is the press have finally caught on and the trend is to be blue.I am sure yesterday many youngsters who were wearing red tops will be saying "I want a blue scarf" simply because everyone was holding them up, it's just the way it is and I believe those who kept the subject of blue going on this board should be commended for continuing to believe they can change people's minds and yesterday was proof of that.The only thing I hope for is continuity and regardless of who we play the blue scarf's are held high and more marches are scheduled to keep raising awareness.Regardless of yesterday's result it felt like that superb day when we ripped the banners down at Ninian park and marched in our thousands to the Millennium United as one, brothers in arms and ready to battle QPR for the right to play in the championship.

I salute the organisers hard work

The organisers have done fantastic work and deserved a lot more numbers than was there yesterday.

Organising demonstrations is difficult. Getting people to turn up at places they don't frequent much is a problem. I recall the miners strike in the 80s when Scargill went to London. He asked for the striking miners to join him and around 15% made the journey. That was considered an excellent turn out.

As I stated in the op the tide is turning and the numbers are growing,as long as we continue to grow in numbers that can only be good.Don't quote me on this but the first attempts to march there were only a couple of hundred of us but now there is a couple of thousand which shows there is growth.All in good time and it's not too late to get that blue scarf back out.

THE BLUE....the blue has always been right at the finishing line awaiting us........and yes AT LAST some of you are catching on.......its actually about BLUE.......BU did not organise this and to many have been the biggest problem to us getting organised properly..cant see it..dont want to see it..........
