It's the stand for people who just want to sit down and watch the game, always has been.

I forgot my scarf due to staying at the girlfriends (but all in blue as always) but yes the grandstand was clearly less supporting.
How did the Ninians look?

Always has been in this ground. At Ninian park block, block b and lower were amazing towards the end and best atmosphere anywhere

Ninian Stand looked great though. Especially closer to the away fans it looked better than the Canton. Almost everyone there had a blue scarf up

Me and my son give it our best in the Grandstand. But we are usually in the minority.
I have even been told off by somebody for booing the opposition - I thought this was at CCS, not the Oval!

Nowt wrong with the grandstand there are some real good fans there just like the rest of the ground. Less noisy granted and of course it houses the corporate hordes that have descended on the club this season in huge numbers so that tends to dilute any real noise. It takes a man to be noisy there I can tell you , because you are generally on your own ! I've not renewed yet but originally went in there as was attending with an elderly relative. It will be me and my ten year old son from next year. I grew up on the bob bank then grange end so probably ninian next year. But back to the point, it is quieter always has been even at NP.

they are the expensive seats, surely you must have wondered why people buy STs in there at a premium..?????
it goes back to the days when grounds were mainly terraced, and the working class stood, the more affluent sat. its every ground at every club, does not make a person less passionate...

The Ninian Stand looked brilliant. Was really impressed by the Family Stand as well considering usually 50% of the kids are in red.

Ninian blocks 117 & 118 were back on form Saturday, I actually once again, enjoyed a game with a bit of atmosphere around me in 117. If it was like that every week, I would reconsider my decision to move over to the Canton for next season

Good to hear
I was over there since the opening of the stadium but the atmosphere was getting worse over there each season, and the stewards weren't helping. I moved to the Canton this season and I don't regret it at all.
