What does Kenwyne Jones have to offer that Rudy Gestede didn't? :ayatollah: :ole:

Being experienced at PL level
More clinical at PL level
More physical

I honestly would prefer gestede.

Both have poor goal scoring records.
Both win lots of headers but head the ball to the opposition.
Both lack control and skill.
Both are physical.
But Gestede is a team player and will close defenders down and give 100%!

A welsh name and a better agent.

I'd say he holds the ball up better and wins more headers as opposed to mistimed jumps.

I liked Rudy but there is no way he could have played like Jones did against Fulham.

If you watch the full game you will notice how often the ball went to Jones and he was able to hold it and/or flick it on to a teamate. He's hardly Mark Hughes but he is certainly someone who gives us an outlet although he needs to be at his best more often.

Rudy was much improved at the end of his time with us but his ball retention was a real weakness and at Premier level that is the key for a big centre forward :ayatollah:

Kenwyne is better than Gestede, If Kenwyne can get a bit fitter it will be happy days

One has played regular top level football, the other won't. :ayatollah:

The thing is mates. They worked very hard on getting mame diuf as the target man. That didnt happen after a chain of events, so a swap for jones was the best they could do. Jones isnt doing to bad, and you never know. Suddenly he might be crutial :ayatollah:

He controls the ball in the opponents half - brings the ball down and distrubutes a lot also a lot more of a physical presence that gestede

I was a big admirer of rudy but KWJ is the better player and exactly what we need in a player atm - aside from a top goalscorer
