I would also say that if you don't to it at the first attempt, then the odds drift dramatically each year as it will get a tougher and tougher ask.

It would not be half empty for starters & secondly the majority of championship clubs have "empty seats", you see it regularly.
Even Swansea got promoted with their crowd not being anywhere near capacity.

Dont talk wet chucks. Are you telling me going from sell outs to half empty stadiums wont impact negatively on the team?![]()
You were getting 17,000 against the likes of Birmingham according to Annis and his mate who deal with counting the actual attendees. If you are having a 33,000 stadium then thats pretty much bang on half empty. Your £10 season tickets and price freezes has squiffed your actual attendances for a long time. Now the £10 season tickets arent available and ST's going up by 25% - i cant see you getting many,
We got promoted on a crest of a wave in terms of attendances, they were fluctuating between 16,000 and 19,000 and the atmosphere against the likes of Forest no question gave the team a boost.
To say going from 27,000 sell outs to 17,000 - 20,000 in a 33,000 stadium wont affect the atmosphere and then in turn the team is just nonsense.

10 December 2010 Swansea City 1 – 1 Millwall Attendance: 13,853
15 January 2011 Swansea City 3 – 0 Crystal Palace Attendance: 13,369
19 February 2011 Swansea City 3 – 0 Doncaster Rovers Attendance: 13,309
There was no "fluctuating around the 16-19 k mark" until the last few games.
Most other games were at 14k. It was only the last handful of games that you got 17-19k - as with us last year, we went up to 25k for the last few games.
So as I said, you either use both best attendances... Which were both full houses, or you use the worst attendances of each season. Fairness would also ensure that you use the official attendances for both clubs, as it wouldn't be a "fair test" if you used official attendances for Swansea & supposed ITK information for the other.
Anyway, I see this as futile... As I still believe we can stay up... Just!

You are missing the point anyway. We were seeing our highest attendances in years in our promotion season, you will be going from full houses to half empty stadiums overnight - i hope you have just slipped back into old barry chuckles for a second and are just posting from a frustrated viewpoint instead of disagreeing with the obvious through your genuine thoughts.

meaning what?you had £10 season tickets, people excited for the first prem season in your history, tan was still a legend and the season tickets cost 30% less.

or i can use common sense and say we had the highest attendances we had for years which helped us on the pitch while you will have a probable drop of 40% on your gates which will obviously affect atmosphere.
Cant actually believe im having this conversation![]()

its not futile at all. Your expansion in a season which you are favourites to go down will probably work adversely to get you back up.

So maybe with a few top Championship players, one or two Swansea "a la mode Swansea-esque continental players and a marquee Premiership signing I think we would do ok.
I can see Marshall, Caulker, Medal, and maybe Craig Noone** who has shown he can hold is own in the Premiership all being shipped out thus recouping a large amount of money via transfer fees and reducing our wage bill to a degree, it is my opinion these players the way they have preformed this season deserve the opportunity to play in the Premiership next season.
Players I would not be surprised to see leave on frees or nominal fees are
Ralls, Smith, Connally, Kiss, Velikonjana, Lewis, Lappin, Jones ( It would not be surprise me ha if he had a pretty cute contract drawn up to suit himself if things went pear shaped) Maynard who is nowhere near the player he was before his injury, Zaha will go back to Manchester United and IMO Javi Guerra will decline the pre contact offer made to him if we were to get relegated.
Player I would not be bothered to see leave -Taylor
Player I would like to see stay- Brayford.
