Ive just had a letter from Gladstones Solicitors on behalf of New Generation Parking, the people who are responsible for the parking at the stadium retail park.
They want £160.
I had the initial parking fine letter back in Sept 2013 but ignored it.
Since then ive had 4 letters from New Generation demanding payment, which I have ignored.
Has anybody had a letter of Gladstones, and what have they done about it.
They are saying that their client "may now instruct us to take legal action in the county court".

I once had a parking ticket from Swansea City council for a parking offence, I ignored it and several months later was sent a letter in which they stated a CCJ was being obtained at the county court on a certain date. I duly paid up.
So why have New Generation got Gladstones involved? Why not seek a county court judgement themselves? It's simply because they have no desire or intention of doing so, but use Gladstones SOLICITORS as a scare tactic. When people see the word solicitor they panic and pay. Neither party will seek a CCJ or have the power to do anything to affect your credit rating.

Only pay council or police fines. I had loads of warning letters from a services car park, haven't heard from them in months now they can't do fucall.

I have only ever paid fines issued by either the council or the police. Every other type of ticket is unenforceable, regardless of what they threaten you with. Just do not enter into any correspondence.
The last one I had, for parking in ASDA without a P&D ticket went on for months. More and more threatening.
In the end, they realise that they're getting nowhere and stop sending letters.

I just had a letter off Roxburghe regarding a PCN from 5/10/13. They want £160 within 14 days.
On the back of the letter there is a number to call to arrange paying a fixed amount each month by standing order. Wonder if they'll accept 10p a Month?
