Only a small minority, i.e. 500-1000 show up to the march on Saturday, will these protests finally stop as it will be clear that the majority fans have no time for this sort of thing?

Nearly everyone I know thinks the blue chanting and marching is idiotic and whilst I am more balanced in that I can see why people do it, I do think it is futile as Tan won't change and I believe it only affects the players negatively.

However good they are the players will be thinking about this unrest as much as the game. If only a few hundred show up, will the usual singers be too disheartened to even sing?

We also have the added crunch that a successful march may see Tan leave the club, and the future is very uncertain if that happened.

You might think you are marching and singing to save our history, but there is still a chance you will end up destroying it.

What a load of rubbish.

Hull fans have protested all year and aren't looking like relegation candidates, which proves your theory wrong.

Nearly everyone I know thinks wearing a red shirt is idiotic.

If Tan leaves the club? Even better.

Agree with you Chuckles. Our society is apathetic by nature. The thousands that will turn up to this march (I promise you it will be that well attended) are just a small percentage of the discontented. I've attended marches before. I can't this time because I'm spending my Saturdays with my son but I wish all those marching the best and they have my full support.

I totally respect and admire those individuals who are peacefully protesting against the lack of respect our club's tradition and heritage has been shown.

If the majority back the red and hate the blue protesters then why doesn't the club hold a survey to see people's real feelings? It's because they know what the truth is and don't want the facts to come to light. Cardiff City will be blue again one day. I know that will happen and I know it will be because of the hard work and determination of those who are peacefully protesting to bring it back. :ayatollah:

They are only five points above us....

If Tan leaves the club we will be deep in the mire and fans with attitudes such as yours will be to blame.

Seriously though, what if only 500 people show up? Is that the end?

Re: IF...

The march will have no bearing on the players. By the same token, neither does Tans comments in the press about anything.

Although some will have you believe otherwise.

5000 people would still be a poor turnout really, less than 25% of fans attending.

Recent protests have been around the 500 level, and that's being generous. I just hope that if it is that number again then it stops as it is getting ridiculous.

No it wouldn't. It would be a fantastic turn out.

Also incorrect. A reported 1,500 at the last protest on Boxing day. What is ridiculous is people like you who consistently run down any attempt to show pride in our club's true identity.

What an absolutely rubbish post. The players wont give two hoots about the unrest. You seem to be living in a different place than the rest of us.

If you had been at the most recent protest or ,the game even you would realise what an absolute tw*t you are making of yourself by saying 500 approx. try at least trebling that.
Anyway may I take this opportunity of thanking you for your unwavering support whilst not knowing your arse from your elbow. :ayatollah:

If you want a red club run by a despot this badly, maybe you should think about packing up and leave us fight on?

Not even 25% of our support, pathetic and won't convince Tan of anything.

I just would like this great club to continue to exist and won't support any protest until someone has an idea of how we go forward after Tan has gone.

One minute people on here are saying that all the Malky/Tan stuff affected the team, the next off field distractions apparently don't matter. Agendas and peer pressure are a strong thing.

Re: IF...

People who will attend the march 10%
People who actually support the rebrand 2%
People who couldn't care either way 8%
People who want blue back but are happy just to moan but not actually do anything 80%

IMO this is about right. Expect a few thousand to march but then be joined at the stadium for the outside protest before game probably a few thousand more!

Back to Blue bring on Saturday. :ayatollah:

To maybe a small minority who think Cardiff City is nothing more than the colour blue. But to the rest of us who see a great football club with a storied history it's more alive than ever.

It's not really about the colour, but the fans relationship with shaping the identity and history of their club, a symbiotic relationship between a fan of today & yesteryear. Once the fan is removed or removes itself from the process of forming identity, then the club is no longer alive. Far too few care or have the insight to recognise what truly makes them feel emotionally for a club. Watching Cardiff has become so inert & soulless that i find Vincent Tans behaviour and the reaction braindead fans more entertaining than the football. I'd like to hear your reason why you think Cardiff is alive? As opposed to operational.

You also shouldnt forget that their will be many Anti rebrand folk who cant march such as elderly, youngsters, infirm, disabled, and loads of folks who just arent confrontational so dont underestimate the power of the protest.

History is by definition the past, you can neither save or destroy it.
