Just all stand together what are they going to do kick all 20 odd thousand out, I always stand at games! Easy way to do this 'stand up if you love cardiff' or 'stand up if you hate Swansea' easily done

Then the club get a lovely letter off the council and FA banning fans from stadium due to breach of safety certificates. CCFC have already been warned about persistent standing this season.

Surely this will not follow through with a fine as fans stand on and off throughout the game and the prevention of standing is merely impossible, the sooner authorities realise this the better

I agree, but its not the clubs fault. They already allow us to stand in Canton when by rights, they arent really allowed.
The key phrase is "persistent standing" standing during moments of high excitement and/or action is deemed ok. Hopefully safe standing in the championship is a success and we grab hold of it.

i know what you are saying is acurate.
but i stood for 90 mins in goodison, and every other away game ive been to, i stand each week in the canton..
it all comes down to a couple of jobsworths protecting their jobs and being seen to do something..
how the hell can it be both safe { canton} and not safe { ninian} in more or less identical stands?

Just seems policies on standing are not consistent enough, I understand the viewpoint that people cannot see the game if u have a 6ft odd giant stood infront of you, but to say it's safe to do so on moments of excitement but persistant standing is frowned upon it's just unreasoned and flawed
as has been said within the canton it is acceptable but the ninian it's not, the easy way is to just allocate standing areas therefore giving the fans power to act if they want to be in standing area or not!

Looks like the first minister is not in support of safe standing (BBC 2), he said the new stadiums are designed to be all seater and he compared standing to the terraces of old and stated that no investment was made into crowd safety back then!
This indicates he has no support of safe standing and thinks it will resort to fans becoming unsafe, I fear the first minister will not back any support of safe sanding but thankfully it's not a devolved power, so hopefully the rightful sports authorities will see sense and at a least trial it and see if it is 'safe' or not!
