' Free coach travel to support your team '

Sun Mar 16, 2014 6:49 pm

When Stoke City come to Cardiff on the 19th April, I've just been told by their fans their club has been putting on up to 40 coaches FREE for all their fans who wish to travel to every away game this season

Wasn't there an initiative at the start of the season where each club was allocated £200,000 by the Premier League to assist with the cost of away travel?

I think Stoke have used their share towards the cost of the free travel. Swansea I think had a free drink and a free meal at one of their away games and I think other clubs have used the money to subsidise away travel or away ticket costs.

We have had reduced bus travel to Norwich and free travel to Swansea so far. I think there will be reduced travel to Sunderland as well and I'm not sure if some of the away ticket prices have been subsidised ( Arsenal was only £25 a ticket if I remember correctly).

Be interesting to know how our £200,000 allocation has been used.

Liverpool game was reduced by £10 as part of the initiative and Sunderland match ticket is subsidised not the travel.

So Norwich game had subsidised travel, Swansea had free travel, Liverpool was subsidised match ticket and Sunderland will be a subsidised match ticket.

We also had a tenner off our Liverpool tickets.
