Everton 2 Cardiff City 1

Cardiff City gave their all today,Ole can be proud of his team, they can be proud as they matched Everton at Goodison Park and in my opinion we were robbed today of a precious point.

But once your in that bottom three, I've always said nothing goes your way.

I don't ever mention luck or complain about refs or luck etc. We could of had a penalty that looked 50/50 from the terraces, but without a doubt with minutes to go we should have had a blatant corner, which would of put the pressure on Everton instead of us, instead a goal kick was given and the pressure was on us and within 2 mins they had scored and we had lost 2-1.

I have to admit when it was 0-0 in the second half we were in with a shout of winning this game, then Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, made in my mind unusual substitutions, he took off Mutch and put on Whiitingham, then took off Craig Noone and put on Matts Daehli, I honestly could not understand why because we looked so comfortable.

And then unbelievably Everton took a 1-0 lead and I thought 'what the hell have you done Ole! But credit to you your players came back and got an equaliser sending Cardiff fans into raptures and we looked comfortable right up until virtually the final whistle. To me we were robbed and many other fellow City fans said the same on the way out of Goodison Park.

Thanks David Marshall, u pulled of another great save.

The support up in Everton was fantastic and Cardiff fans can be proud of their support  :ayatollah:

The coach is silent going home but hey if we can produce this kind of performance against Liverpool next Saturday with a full house behind the Bluebirds you never know what could happen, all is not lost  :ayatollah:

Listened to Oli interview on Sky. He is confident we will avoid the drop. He does not like the way penalties are going against us either.

If we play like until the end of the season there is no reason why we can stay up :ole: :ayatollah:

But he is right it was a pen

Nothing 50/50 about the penalty Annis as Distin caught Zaha. Replay shows it was an absolute stone wall but yet another which hasn't been given.

But what a performance from the manager and every single player just get Liverpool out of the way and you never know as we seem to be getting better under OGS.

I recall a stone wall penalty for Everton at our place!!!!!swings and roundabouts!!!!

A minute or so before mutch went off he was holding his hamstring so that was a forced substitution

Noone in my opinion had a poor game mainly due to not having the ball enough and probably did need a change so I can't see any problem there either .

The one that got me was the inclusion of zaha when fabio was doing a great job cutting off the space behind him .

Everton had a very big penalty shout in the first half aswell when John left his leg out , so no excuses the game evened itself out IMO

Great effort and some good football from the City today. Credit OGS and the lads.
But I feel pretty depressed  .
We knew it would be hard to stay up and we'd need a bit of luck. I now feel we wont get out of it. Hope to God I am wrong - might feel better in 24 hours.
Anyway they played with pride today and a bit more confidence. If Ogs had some more games I think he would have seen us pull clear.

If you leave your leg out you run the risk of giving a penalty away

But he didn't give a pen away as it wasn't one IMO

They were even praising us on soccer saturday. Le Tiss said it was a pen and we deserved something out the game. A mishit and a scuff goal. Cant make up our luck!

If we can put the same sort of performances in for the last eight games we stand a good chance of staying up

Ole's last 3 games have shown a vast improvement and all is not lost :ayatollah:

It wasn't John it was Cala and he clearly pulled his leg away with no contact. Distin made clear contact with Zaha.

As far as the subs were concerned, I thought Noone was totally anonymous and had to go off and maybe Mutch still has fitness concerns? Whitts did create the equaliser, so you can really criticise the subs in my opinion. We thoroughly deserved a point, got no luck at all!

Everton 2- Cardiff 1: Slice of good fortune floors Bluebirds

IT took the luck of the Irish to beat a great Scot and break Welsh hearts.

Red is an unlucky colour for bluebirds!
So unlucky in last minutes vs everton and sunderland.
Get never a penelty, the referees are against us, because. The unlucky red!

Red = luck *Tan's logic

But wait, lost against Everton (blue team) and that miss kick from Coleman :sad7:

So sorry with the result, but i'm so proud with determination from the players.
Good luck for the relegation battle
