Sorry Carl I don't rate Kenwyne Jones, I feel he is lazy and his finishing is not class, just last week he missed two sitters against Fulham, but I'm not just saying it because of that game, my opinion was that before he even signed for us.
I'm just a fan and it's just my opinion, I hope he proves me totally wrong.

I take it you two are talking about the header in the first half that had no power on the cross coming in and the lay back off Jordon Mutch was played behind Jones and he done well to wrap his leg around it and get it on target.

Jones made some excellent runs last week but Noone hugged the ball and didn't play him in.

Jones will be an asset :ayatollah:

Carl, Kenwyne can run all he wants, when he can be bothered, but in my opinion he hardly runs at all and when he does he is slow, no vision, first touch is awful and too slow when he gets the ball.

Maybe not match fit regarding his running.

I hope he proves me wrong.

Have to agree with Carl on this one. I thought Jones (debut game goal apart) had his best game for City versus Fulham and sometimes we need to remember exactly the type of slightly old-fashioned centre forward he is, i.e. a 'lumper' who won't be seen 'tracking back' or running a marathon in distance throughout a game

Not saying he is the best there is out there, but if he plays a part (as he did last week IMHO) he can be a key member of the team from now until the end of the season

Have a great day up there in Toffeeland and spare a thought for us workers back home!

It's in these games where we could expect a lower amount of possession and the counter attack could be our best outlet that he needs to show his worth. We know Campbell is going to run like a man possessed but jones needs to find him with flick ons which hasn't happened so far. That's if he plays the two together today.

I must need glasses as well, but I thought Jones had a decent hour against Fulham but ran out of steam towards the end. Missed one sitter and should have scored when he shot too close to the goalie. He is an outlet and we need his height in the team.iMO he has proven more useful to the side than Odenwingie, despite his shortcomings.

He will, given time. Possibly one of the best targetmen this club has seen in a long time. Just need the team to supply him the balls and not be so greedy.

And no, I haven't been drinking! ! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

100% agree with this. Far too lazy he needs to work equally as hard as frazier does. Just cos hes a bigger target man gives him know right to not work as hard
