The March is best chance of getting new owners

Fri Mar 14, 2014 10:52 am

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=137999

Possible world wid coverage. Prospective new owners will see the passion we have for our club and think "I'll have a bit of that" knowing an early return to blue will get us onside. That's why it's important it's all about the blue and not Tan out with a bit of racism thrown in. Basically not the BU march.

I have full faith that Annis and the others will ensure this happens. This march could define our future.

Totally agree.
It would be great if Tan could get some offers for the club and walk away without losing face.
Or of course, doing any more damage.

Yes because selling a football club is that simple

This is a problem that I have "I have full faith in Annis and others ensuring this will happen." Why do a certain section of our fans look for leadership or want to follow other fans?

If this meant so much to you all where were you last season? Did you as individuals stand outside the stadium last season expressing your disgust then?

I'll never go along with any of this as no one can guarantee me we will have a club at the end of it. I didn't march against PR and Im not going to do it now. The situation might end badly but as it is now it looks a better option than if VT leaves.

A good number of you will be well gone when the shit hits the fan.

As I see it, the one's who are putting our club in jeopardy are the small number of fans who are throwing a tantrum because we are staring relegation in the face.

What amuses me is that the most voiciferous about all of this is a guy who supports another club and another who appears to have supported the City for a little time......or if at all.

Fella, that statement is pretty naive to be honest

The best chance of Tan leaving is Tan himself deciding he's had enough and (according to those who think they know him) he is more likely to stay until he thinks he has "got the job done" for credibility purposes

Obviously, those 'credibility' purposes will have little to do with Cardiff City FC persay, it will have little to do with the club's fans, and it will have little to do with pure finance

Any prospective "new" owner will look at what has happened over recent times and be influenced in two ways, i.e. the way the club has moved forward in footballing terms, but also by the way relations with sections of the fan base have become so bitter

To say you have "full faith in Annis and others" is great and we all know how much time and effort Annis (and others  ) put in trying to get the club and its supporters to listen, and (more importantly at this stage in my eyes) getting fans off their proverbial backsides to attend peaceful demonstrations rgarding the rebranding of the club we all claim to love

As high profile as Annis is, HE CANNOT DO IT BY HIMSELF!!

The choices are simple:

If supporters feel strongly enough about the rebrand (regardless of whether they think a change back to blue is either likely or even possible under Tan) then they will be at the CCS early next Saturday for a PEACEFUL demonstration in order to show the strength of feeling on the matter

If supporters feel that they are not too concerned or simply don't care about the rebrand then obviously they won't be attending (as is their right) and the message to Tan will be "Do what you want..."

Personally, I support the visible signal that a significant number of the paying support feel strongly enough to make get off their backsides early and get down to the stadium, as a high turnout will, if nothing else, alert the club's second tier hierarchy (sadly not Tan himself) and the hovering media vultures that Cardiff City's fans will not be "rolling over and playing dead" anytime soon

To send that message out LOUD AND CLEAR needs the physical support of a large number of Bluebird fans and not leaving it to Annis et al with the attitude "I have faith..."

If you care about the move to red from blue, GET DOWN THERE!

If you're genuinely not too bothered, enjoy your morning and watch what happens next! ;)

Not just Annis but Carl, Vince and Corky too. A lot more influence than the BU had to keep things in check.

We'll always be blue!!!!

C'mon City fans let's unite against this once and for all.....

It's amazing that a couple of self proclaimed "fans leaders" can influence so many sheep, most of you have not given a shit for the last 2 seasons a lot even mocked and abused BU and tried to bring them down with false accusations of racism

That's life is it not. The masses have always relied on leadership. The problem with the blue movement has been the lack of leadership from prominent fans. To make it worse some of them have turned their back on our identity. At least now there is a coming together.

BU had one obstacle to overcome and that was the leadership. No one had heard of Sian Branson and peoples guards went up. This opened the door to those who were uneasy or outright against a blue movement. As far as I was concerned some of the accusations were either false or magnified. Considering the amount of unfair criticism BU have got it has been a miracle they managed to keep the blue flag flying. If the blue returns and things settle down I believe people will see how important their work was in the end.

No it won't, it will mean that we agree with what Danny Murphy recently said about the five ways to avoid relegation - number 4 was 'Minimise off-field upheaval' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26473475

at least until it's been mathematically decided one way or another...

I can honsetly say, i joined the march at the top of Canton and didn't hear any racism, heard a chant of 'Welsh not Malaysian' but that's fair enough and, to me, not racist. I even saw an oriental family clapping the march by Tesco in Canton, they were clapped back. You get racism everywhere from all colours to all colours. I would not characterise that march as racist in nature at all, if it were, i wouldn't have bothered walking. What are other views on this? as i'm getting worried i was accidently part of a racist march throuch Cardiff

Same here mate Just the Welsh not Malaysian chant I didn't witness any racism I think this had been blown out of the water myself. Although agreed on the FB page there was all sorts of stuff written but that's just a free for all and can't be taken seriously. FB aside does anyone have proof or heard actual racist chant coming from BU?
