Protest last season / this season

Thu Mar 13, 2014 4:44 pm

So a big united march against the rebrand versus Liverpool.....whilst we need support for our team who happen to be fighting against relegation. What we get is inane derision of VT and childish chanting at games. I believe most who are doing so is because we are struggling and losing most matches.

Let's compare this to last season, winning most matches, sitting pretty at the top of the table and looking forward to premiership football. Not a ####### whimper

What we have actually got is the most fickle, self obsessed, camera crazy bunch of retarded fans in the country. Tell me it's all a coincidence eh?

What a shower of no hopers. We deserve to do a " Pompey."

That's right. Well done for reading the press release.

whilst we need support for our team who happen to be fighting against relegation. What we get is inane derision of VT and childish chanting at games.

The "inane dirision" is all his own doing. Supporting the team and also protesting against the rebrand are not mutually exclusive either. :old:

I believe most who are doing so is because we are struggling and losing most matches.

Well you are wrong.

Let's compare this to last season, winning most matches, sitting pretty at the top of the table and looking forward to premiership football. Not a ####### whimper

Really? Then I suggest you clean out your ears. We had protest groups, protest meetings, protest events and also many games where "WE WILL ALWAYS BE BLUE" was sung. In fact, Tan was deafened by it when walking the trophy out vs Bolton.

Understandably, the feelings towards the rebrand have got even stronger, after a number of ridiculous gaffes from the dictator.

What we have actually got is the most fickle, self obsessed, camera crazy bunch of retarded fans in the country. Tell me it's all a coincidence eh?

What a shower of no hopers. We deserve to do a " Pompey."

Surely the "No hopers" would be the ones willing to allow VT to do anything & doing a Pompey would actually be forcing out the owner. Sounds great to me. :D

No he doesn't. Plenty of anti rebrand meetings/events and songs last season.

The hatred towards VT has got worse after a series of gaffes. Totally understandable. :D

I think Bluetones has summed it up perfectly.....that and me having no inclination on wasting my time with you.

Isn't there another thread that you can drone on about something instead?

Can't counter my points then! :laughing6:

Absolutely not. You've posted something and I've countered it, that's how a debate works. If you can't take people challenging your opinions in a decent manner, maybe forums aren't best for you?

OK .....I know I'll regret it.

Pompey did well to force out there owner ......really? If fans did that here the only benefit "some" would have is that the nearest fan to you would be 6 rows away....and that's a fact!

Wild inaccuracies? So, you believe had we been very successful this season the protest would have gathered at the same momentum? That's bollox and you know it. You lot would of been talking football all day long.....ok possibly the only exception being you.

As for you ignoring me, anytime I give a different point to you on VT etc there you are each time.In fact you appear in every single thread on the topic. You know my opinion and I know yours but you will find you reply to me x10. Banging your head against the wall comes to mind. You don't create debate you stifle it.

You rarely discuss football, tactics, day experiences etc. All you do is beat the same drum all day long. You might be the BU's little warrior but jeez mate....... cant you see further than the end of your nose? Even if you said yeah, I do worry about the future and where we will end up in 2 years time if VT asset strips and walks away? Sold all players....sold the ground for a minimum etc. Just think twice......no you won't. What you'll take heart from is in a few years time you can bore someone to death with your bar stories on how you caused the downfall of VT's empire....single handed.

There I'm done with you.

I do agree with you however I think this march is going to unite the fans behind the team massively. The pish BU marches had the opposite effect and divided the fans. This will be different and I think spark us to stay up. You are right though.

Re: Protest last season / this season

The OP is only speaking the truth which people will find hard to accept.

In terms of what happens on the pitch, I actually agree with you.

Re: Protest last season / this season

Fri Mar 14, 2014 10:35 pm

I think Chuckles is right. Tan's behaviour this seasonhas led to far more fans turning against him.

It really started to turn with his appalling handling of the Malky sacking.

Appointing the painter boy as head of recruitment was unforgivable too.

The constant belittling of Malky is also hugely undignified.

Also, he has not kept his side of the bargain by turning the debt into equity.

There was plenty of opposition last season, but his antics this season in front of a global audience - which has made the club a laughing stock - has taken that to a whole new level.

Yes, the team's performances have not helped but that's partly because many people blame Tan for our league position with the way he interfered with then sacked Malky.
