' ALAN PARDEW PUNISHED '

The FA have banned Newcastle boss Alan Pardew for seven matches - starting with immediate effect - and fined him £60,000 for his headbutt on Hull's Davis Meyler. The first three of those games are a complete stadium ban.

Not CCFC Topic but what do you all think of this? A good decision by the FA or not?

So putting your head to someonelses is more punishable than racial abuse now. Nice.

it looked a nothing head butt as well - bet he's wishing he'd done him properly.

don't condone Pardew but it is a lot of noise for not very much - when you see what other sportspeople go through just to compete, this is pathetic on every level, including the Hull lot.

Bunch of pussies.

A bloke in non league got banned for the same thing, except his ban was 10 matches and 2 weeks away from all football including training, the club grounds, any contact with the club and/or staff.

Pardew gets a monetry punishment (nothing compared to what they earn) and seven matches

Newcastle manager Pardew was given seven-match suspension which will see him barred from stadia for three games, and from the touchline for the subsequent four.

It is stiffest punishment imposed on a Premier League manager.

Pardew has also been fined £60,000 after an FA independent regulatory committee came down hard on the 52-year-old, who pleaded guilty to head-butting Meyler.

The punishment is subject to appeal and once more Pardew said sorry for his actions.

He said: “As I have made clear, I deeply regret the incident and again wholeheartedly apologise to all parties for my conduct, which I understand was not acceptable.

“I will accept the punishment handed down by the Football Association today.

“My focus now turns to preparing the team for this weekend’s game against Fulham and finishing the season as strongly as possible.”

Pardew completes his stadium ban after the visit by Everton on March 25.

His touchline punishment runs until the home Premier League clash with Swansea on April 19. He will be free to return to the technical area for the final three games of the season, starting with the trip to Arsenal, nine days later.
