Got the union members what they wanted at the expense of everyone else, a selfish bunch of cunts. "But Unions are for the poor, working class victims that have to fight against the evil baddies, the rich". Ye right.
No one minded him being champagne socialist because he was effective and got them a few extra pounds. If he was in any other industry he would be hated by the working class. It's amazing how much people change their tune once they can benefit.
