The on-loan Cardiff defender is already eyeing the Wembley FA Cup semi-final clash with Hull after scoring in the thrilling 2-0 sixth round win over Charlton Athletic.
Brayford admits it’s amazing he was passed fit to help topple the Addicks – after fearing his cup dream would be ko’d by a nasty calf injury. This is your best chance to get to Wembley
The crocked 26-year-old could barely make it upstairs at home just days before his Bramall Lane heroics went a long way to securing a last-four berth and a potential Europa League slot.
He said: “This time last week I was struggling to climb the stairs at home, let alone to play, so it’s massive thanks to the physios. They’ve been with me every single step of the way and I owe them a lot.
“It was a frantic race to be fit at times, but there was no way I was going to miss a game like that, and to score just put the icing on the cake.”
Nigel Clough’s League One battlers start as rank outsiders against Steve Bruce’s Premier League side at the national stadium next month.
But the in-form Blades are on an amazing nine-game winning streak.
“Reaching the last four is the stuff dreams are made of and just goes to show what you can do when you’ve got 11 warriors out there”
John Brayford
And after dumping out top flight Aston Villa earlier in the competition, Brayford has warned the Tigers they’re not guaranteed a place in the final.
He added: “Reaching the last four is the stuff dreams are made of and just goes to show what you can do when you’ve got 11 warriors out there who are just so proud to wear that red-and-white shirt.
“We’ll be giving absolutely everything at Wembley to try to do it all over again.”

I hope he plays for us next season irrespective of which league we're in. But I can see him staying with Sheffield United as he seems to have a good relationship with Clough

I would love to know what happened ?
He must have fallen out with Malky but you would have thought he would of got a chance to impress when the manager was sacked but Ole didn't keep him either or was the loan all ready setup??

Something definitely smells about the whole brayford saga, we all saw how good he was in the last two seasons of the championship, voted derbys player of the season two years on the trot and also voted best right back in the championship by his fellow professionals then malky pays £2 million for him and he never even makes the match day squad all season for us, he seems to be performing well again all be it at a lesser level.

Wasn't in our 25 and didn't have many games under his belt, FairPlay to Ole for allowing him to go on loan, best decision for both.
