When people say they are going to holiday in Turkey I always wonder do they undersand the situation in country.

I've never been to Turkey and don't really have plans to go. I'm sure the majority of people there are lovely and parts of it look beautiful but I wouldn't want to take my family there. Not after the experiences my wife and others I know have had there.

If you think a shop keeper calling a customer a cnut in front of his wife and young children is acceptable then fine. If you think itd acceptable to be threatened in said shop is ok then fine.
