And their confidence won't have been helped by that crap performance.

Not all of them. A win takes them out of the bottom 3. Anything else is a bonus for them.
They are home next to palace. Not sure what the best result is for us, probably a draw?

Rosler hails 'greatest success' after City win
9 Mar 2014 22:29
The Wigan manager said it was his biggest managerial achievement after masterminding the Latics to victory.

Uwe Rosler has declared Wigan’s shock win over City his greatest success as a manager.

The former Blues striker only took over at the DW Stadium following the axing of Owen Coyle earlier this season.

Since then, he has led the Latics up the Championship table and only last week was named manager of the month.

“When you play Manchester City you have to keep the ball, you have to have high risk, get the ball down and try and match them on possession,” said the German, who has also been boss of Brentford.

“In the first half I thought we did that extremely well. Second half we had to take players off and that interrrupted the rhythm and City had nothing more to lose so they pushed forward.”

While Rosler admitted his side were lucky to stay ahead, he thought City had their own spot of luck to get back into the game after believing defender Joleon Lescott interfered with play following Samir Nasri’s shot for City’s goal.

“When I saw the goal that City had scored, I felt personally it was offside. Lescott interfering with our goalkeeper,” Rosler added.

“We had also lady luck on our side, you have to have that when you go into a place like that but overall I’m so delighted for my players.”
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan expressed his joy with the result and paid tribute to Rosler, who he hired in December.

“Nothing can compare when you actually win the cup, but to come here to this stadium and win and go back (to Wembley) and play Arsenal in the semi-final is a dream, a total dream,” he said.
