Man on man against hangeland is not the easyest of task. Should have scored two, but other than that he did ok.

Worked his bollocks off today - Ok maybe he should have scored a couple but I couldn't fault his effort.

Re: Kenwyn

Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:39 pm

Did ok today. Won his share of flick ons and held it up.
Not brilliant but then with whitts out he's the latest player for fans to slag off whatever he does.

Re: Kenwyn

Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:41 pm

He won 5 of 9 headers. Who else do we have to put up there as target? He got two good runs free on goal, but noone desided
To do another shift again. Im not saying he is great. But at least be fair to the lad! :ugeek:

Because I don't agree with him being MOM?!

Of all the players that did well today - Caulker, John, Fabio (!) & Campbell... I'm amazed anyone can say Jones had man of the match.

Re: Kenwyn

Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:57 pm

Fabio by a mile today.

Target men always get hammered by the fans due to the nature of the role. Bothroyd, Gestede, Acorn, Jones even Peter Thorne for a while.

Think the team who wanted it more & toughed it out got the points.

Not a classic, but it was never going to be, both teams are poor and bottom for a reason. But the desire was there today and the majority put in a good shift which was nice to see.

As for the OP saying Jones was MOM, each to their own. Personally I thought either full back could've had a shout at that accolade, Campbell ran his bollocks off.....his tracking back was excellent. Just wish he was more composed in front of goal.

Apart form all the above posts, yet again, final whistle went, shook a couple of Fulham players hands and pissed off straight down the tunnel, he did the same last week at Spurs. Is it too much to ask him to join in with the rest of the team and acknowledge the supporters. Gives me the impression he's only here for the money.

Re: Kenwyn

The amount of times he should have been closing defenders down (like Campbell would have) but couldn't be bothered was ridiculous, HE let the defenders do what they wanted and play the ball out of their own half. Did ok with the ball at his feet but my god he's a lazy fucker.

Re: Kenwyn

Sat Mar 08, 2014 10:11 pm

My thoughts watching the game was that he was Very poor, ok shit, not to mention to chances that should have been buried.

However, having just watched the game again, on sky game of the day have to say fair play he put a reasonable shift and at the end of the game he was totally knackered. Fitness still clearly an issue played a lot flicks on which resulted in attacks, increasing his fitness level will hopefully get him into goal scoring positions.

Today he'll be remembered for two wasted chances.

Spot on with everything. Did ok but missed a sitter in the second half. I agree Fabio probably my man of the match to be honest.

Not good enough in the air for a big guy imo. Awful miss at 1-0

Re: Kenwyn

Not mom but certainly played well doing a proper target man job. Stayed central and was the "out" ball and the majority if times he kept it.

He's defo the new fans whipping boy but anyone with a tactical knowledge will know what value he added today.

You down have to run around like a nutter to have a good game. If he plays like that for the rest of the season he will be key.
