CARL CURTIS : VINCENT TAN'S TIMING HAS COST CARDIFF CITY

I have already resigned myself in the belief that we will be relegated........

I had doubts about the appointment of Solskjaer........But the timing of his appointment for me was more wrong than the appointment itself.

I would have thought Tony Pulis or somebody of that ilk would have been a better fit for the players we have and the position we are in.

Some supporters may argue that we should not be so cautious at home today, especially against opponents who are the only team below us in the division.

I want City to succeed more than anything........

I have said for some time that we were relegated the minute Tan decided to get rid of Malky. We were always going to struggle to stay up in our first season but the balance was then tipped against us by getting rid of our manager at the worst possible time of the season. To me it was obvious that any change would result with new players and a new style of playing that would take a while to produce results in a league that is totally unforgiving. The turmoil this has created has not only cost us points whilst Ole cuts his teeth but I feel that the pressure put on Malky during his last few weeks by constantly being undermined also cost us valuable points that are like gold dust in this league.
I do not blame Ole for our situation as the writing was already on the wall but perhaps he was a little naive thinking he could make any real progress this season given the huge challenge that faced him.The main reason we are in this predicament is the decision to change managers at the wrong time. If Tan wanted Malky out then he could have easily waited till the end of the season which would have been better for the club, players and us fans but unfortunalely his ego would not allow for common sense to prevail.

Well we better beat Fulham today, Ive bet on us to beat them, this to me is our last real chance, its a must win, beat these and we still have a chance, a defeat and yes I will def give up on us staying up.

Why so much negativity about OGS, not helping our cause is it? Get behind our manager and players for feck sake. Yet another sticky or should I say sticking the knife in - well done!!!

Got to laugh the same moaners that wanted malky to stay on after the moody afair are now moaning about the timing of ogs appointment ,tan should have got rid of malky in November instead of listening to the fans ,where was the riot ?????

It's not so much negativity against Ole but the realisation we are going to be relegated. We may even win today but beating a bottom of the table side is not going to save our season and deep down most fans accept this even if it's not pleasant to think about it.

As u very well know Wez, fans dont really riot in this day and age.

Ive stuck by Malky from day one and still do, but weve already debated this

If you read my post correctly then you will find that I do not blame Ole or raise the Malky to stay argument. I am just saying that the change was made at the worst possible time for the club, team and fans which has ultimately cost us relegation.

I just feel we should of got rid of malky when the moody went ,pulis was available then but some fans didn't want malky gone but the same people are moaning now

On this your right Wez  if Tan wanted Malky out then, which he did, Tan should of sacked Malky last Oct/Nov, instead it did become a circus.

I know this but it's an example of a post not pushing the agenda you claim.

I am fully behind the manager and the players but if I believe the appointment or rather the timing was wrong then I will say it.

Read the article and you will clearly see I do not blame OGS for taking the job and I want him to succeed.

Carl, the point is that it is yet another negative post (one of many now by yourself) which has been made a sticky. At a time when we need to get behind the team you and others seem intent on creating I'll feeling towards the club and negativity. Do you want to upset the fan base so that we do get relegated and you can go into points scoring to say that you were right all along? That's what I and probably others are starting to think

Hindsight eh

If this article was written at the time of the apointment it might hold more weight.

People like you should read the article before commenting.

This is all about Tan and his total screw up.

Natman red I think that Carl is being a realist so perhaps you should try it sometime and you might even see Tan and his failed rebrand for what it is.

Problem is wez even if they had sacked Malky at that time and Pulis was available Dalman would still have gone for ogs, Personally if we lose today or draw we are down, so in the words of Dave Jones we must dust ourselves down and we start again cos honestly I feel given time ogs will fetch us back up from the championship playing a more attractive style of football , just opinion :ole: :ayatollah:

Whatever happens, if we do go down, he must give ole a chance to get us up again. He has signed new players now and no doubt more will come and go if we go down. A new manager would inherit 2 lots of disgruntled players otherwise, then add his own, a right melting pot. Try and keep a settled squad if we do go down like Newcastle did a few years ago

Cardiff will stay up by the skin of their teeth - a little bit of confidence yesterday will go a long way - yes every game is hard and a challenge which will show the character of the players in time - but all the negative thing in media messages boards don,t help - and what's gone on behind the scenes but that's all done now - if your all so proud to be a cardiff supporter why can't you put all your energy into backing the team and manager who is on the side line every game - instead of sat on your asses typing a load of bollox every day - support your team and manager - be loud and proud - wear your true colours and just may be the team will believe in themselves and just may be we will survive - one club one team one colour - end off ! It's not about tan or colour now in its about surviving in the best league in the world - you can all fight over traditions, colours, players ,managers and chairmans when we survive or go down - from a die hard blue fan forever - players managers chairmen come and go real fans for life -

Hear f*cking hear Mallo

There are people on this board hoping we go down just so they can have a pop at Tan and say he made the wrong decision.

They are showing more loyalty to Malkys than their own club it's f*cking embarrassing.
