Which teams in Europe are the least willing to get stuck in?
Cardiff City are in a desperate fight to avoid relegation from the Premier League after only a solitary season in the top-flight, yet Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appear to lack the combative edge to secure their status for another campaign.
The Bluebirds average less tackles per game this term than any other team in Europe’s five most prominent leagues - a dubious accolade they are able to hold above Bayern Munich by a margin of 1.2 tackles per encounter.
Given their lack of tackling, Cardiff have also committed the least average fouls across the same five divisions, and these statistics may suggest Solskjaer needs to fire his troops up a little more for the relegation battle at hand.
Cardiff are placed second-bottom in the Premier League, three points behind West Brom, and with a significantly worse goal difference, and their prospects of survival are not looking particularly favourable.
Constant fouling does not guarantee safety, of course, but the stats appear to outline the need for some greater grit and determination from the Cardiff players. With Cardiff less willing to stick their respective feet in than any other team in Europe.

Its called being compact & disciplined. In theory, hard to break down. We don't have many free-kick attempts from opposition for these reasons.
If Medel kept his discipline at Villa Park, we would of got 1 point from it i'm sure. He gave a silly foul in the right area for a free-kick specialist
