There's a good chance he'll have his wish sooner than lately. High ranking staff told me his family have had enough of the insults. Apparently there's been some pretty heavy stuff aimed his way recently. He reckoned that leaving will not depend on selling his money is well covered and there's ways and means. Met him a few times at the Berjaya Eden Park bays water a few times and is well respected.

Can I ask, without getting into the "id leave you in good hands debate" what happens if he does walk, aren't you at all concerned? what if the new owner is even worse, ie) doesnt turn us back to blue (this seems to be a given that it will happen, where i disagree) just takes money without any investment a la Leeds Utd or Portsmouth

I guess thats where some of us differ. I can't take the chance that my club will fold. As much as people bleet on, that is a possibility if Tan was to just piss off. How would you feel if that happened?

It's everything to do with being brave. If Tan walks then it is a risk worth taking because we won't have anything left to lose as he will have destroyed everything about the club given another season. The chances of a new owner being as mad as him is rare but not unheard of. If you are not prepared to take the chance then you fully deserve what u get and certainly don't deserve the right to bitch about it if you have been given the opportunity to do something about it and choose not to.

If it worked, I would congratulate you for having the guts to do it. I would have nothing to apologise for, if, however, the club folded, you would have cost 1000's of fans a football club they have supported a very long time, for that, you would need to take the shit aimed at you and apologise.

I've said many times I want blue back as much as anyone BUT I want a club to support at the end if it. Tan could leave us in a right mess beyond ever coming back so for me the idiocracy of saying "take a risk" is just not sonething as I fan I'd be prepared to lose. I've been a fan for 25 years before some of u chirp up so surely the safety of the club is paramount?

That's the problem though Ryan. You won't have enough of your club left worth supporting. If they play in red and are not called the bluebirds or even have a name change the what do you actually have left other than a red franchise that has nothing in common with the team we once loved. You may be happy watching premiership football just for the sake of it but you will feel little affinity to the team you are watching. This is beginning to happen already and the result of this is the crap atmosphere in the stadium which is undeniable.

whats premiership football got to do with it. Wouldnt care what league we are in. Out of the 3 reasons you listed as a reason not to have an affinity with the club, only one of them is infact ineffect

For you maybe but the post was not addressed to you was it. There are plenty of fans who don't care what colour we play in or if we are known as the bluebirds or not or even what we are called just so long as they can go down the road and watch premiership football. Thankfully these are the first fans who will abandon us when we are relegated.

Re: CCFC Tan Out

Sat Mar 08, 2014 2:25 pm

Bloody amazing how some fans would rather see City relegated and OGS lose games. So that they can get VT out and get back to blue colours. at the same time they accuse others who still try to support the team of being newbies who will disappear when City are relegated.
Just to be able to say "l was right" and we'd have never gone down with MM in charge.
Get a life.
I am not an apologist for Tan and VT isnt the best
BUT
he has done some good things and we wouldnt be in the premier wothout his financial support. Where would we be if he had not come to the rescue. We have had years of neglect and mismanagement by Risdale and Hamman who were more like batman villains than TAN. Both had big ideas but didnt want to put there money where there mouth is. You want to get rid of VT so so badly. Maybe you will succeed and when City go down he will wash his hands and say he is fed up of the abuse and its not worth it. Will it be a hollow victory? Be very careful what you wish for. Another dose of the Risdale / Hamman style or maybe even more corrupt like the Birminghams chairman,
Agreed VT changed the colours (stupid and not justifiable) and he sacked MM (probably justified despite MM having done good work inthe past). At least VT is a genuine and successful businessman who gives plenty of support to charities etc and appears to be very well liked in his home country.
I'm Blue since '64. and there have been a lot worse than VT. In the end the Club isbigger than any indiviual!

Re: CCFC Tan Out

Sat Mar 08, 2014 4:09 pm

life is all about taking chances nobody knows what the outcome will be, IF people who protest (as is their right) succeeds and tan does leave and if the worst nightmare comes true and we do fold how will the people who protested feel then? the club WE all love has gone, you got to pick your battles in life but some you got to be sure of and careful, now I don't believe for one minute that tan would walk without getting his money back and find a buyer but the next owner could be even worse and the process starts all over again, the damage is done and we will never know the true outcome of tans vision (shit so far) but he his a billionaire by merit he didn't win the lottery, we all need to unite for aslong as he is here, we wont be blue again under tan and that's the sad truth but thanks to him we have prem football at the moment the club is much healthier in terms of money and new training facilities in the making, besides the colour change and numerous idiotic bust-ups, as a business this club is doing well, nobody wants to go back to the days of winding up orders etc, this team needs fans support.
