hard to say on performance level Giggs has had an amazing career and Bale is on course for an amazing career

dont forget giggs hasnt always been 39....the big difference is who the 2 play for,real madrid encourage players to play national football,man u not to bothered about a star playing for wales.

Giggs has had a fabulous career but I feel his Wales career will always be tarnished with his no shows.
Bale only a youngster but I thing he will nearly double Giggs caps. So Bale for me.

Giggs was and is a great player and has had a fantastic career. Bale however is a world class player who is only going to get better and he has the commitment and passion to wanting to play for Wales

Bale is the better player and has the balls to tell Ancelotti 'I'm playing for Wales, even if it is a friendly against Finland or whoever'.Which he done this week.Ancelotti wasn't happy but tough.
Giggs will never be a Welsh legend in my eyes as he never turned out for a friendly and didn't have the balls to tell Fergie or just thought he was too important to play in a friendly match.

Giggs was an outstanding player over a couple of decades, but we didn't get to see him produce enough for his country.
Can't remember thinking 'wow' after I did on Wednesday watching a Giggs performance, or thinking I would pay just to watch him play.
Bale does all those things & to watch his team mates react in such a positive way having him on the field is fantastic.
There will never be another Ryan Giggs with his achievements and playing at the level at such an age, BUT, there's only ONE Gareth Bale!!
